Luna Gabrielle looked through the window from her room, with her eyes that looked swollen and formed dark circles around it. She had not really gotten a good sleep, at night her eyes popped up open in between her sleep as tears fall down her eye lids. She hated the anxiety that engulfed her these days as a result of the consistent pressure and maltreatment her step - mother laid on her. They were days when she would wake up screaming her mother's name as a result of a bad nightmare she had of her mother, sometimes she felt as though her mother's presence hovered all over the house like a ghost. She remembered an incident sometime ago when one of the guards was sent to call her and he stepped into her room and stood behind her back till she turned, considering that Luna Gabrielle had not taken notice of the fact that he had been calling her frightened the guard so he moved closer to call her attention but she seemed lost in her own thoughts so much that Luna Gabrielle ended up calling him mother when she turned. Her energy seemed drained nowadays with the unending chattering of Luna daisy two children who ran inside the house making so much noise and disturbing the serenity of the environment. They both ran out into the open as rain drops had begin to drizzle little by little showering the whole earth. Minutes later it became heavier and luna Daisy children decided to play in the mud and laugh out freely without a care in the world. Their mother Luna Daisy on seeing them through her window called the guards out loud in rage.

" Guaaaaards were, are you all"?

None of them answered so she became even more furious.

" Where are you all idiots, can't you see how stupid you all can be for letting my children play out in the rain." She uttered these words, to one of the guards.

" You stand there and watch me speak, you fool".

"Would you go get them immediately out of the rain."

Immediately the guards goes out to get her two children who looked absolutely dirty and drenched by the rain.

The two children who had forcefully being dragged out of the rain came into the house reluctantly with their bodies stained with mud.

"Oh, you two",! Luna daisy exclaimed

"Why are you both being so silly".

She ordered one of the guards to take them to the bathroom for a proper warm bath which he obeyed.

Luna Gabrielle could hear their conversations from her bedroom but she didn't know who they were referring to as she couldn't get a clear information on who they were referring to.

" I don't know what we are going to do now". The first guard said.

" I feel so frightened, and it's even worse that we do not have a better plan."

" How did you get to kill him"? The second guard asked .

" He had refused giving me the money, we looted from another clan and you understand quite well that we all made an agreement that this would be a good Job with no blood on our hands."

" How do you expect me to cover up his treacherous act, so I ended up killing him and leaving both bodies in the farmland so it doesn't seem as though anyone else was involved and that they had both killed each other as a result of a conflict."

"Here is what I did, when I noticed that Alpha Danko was laying dead on the farmland I couldn't leave him in the open field just like that, so I asked Alpha Kabir to follow me back to were he laid, and I hit his head because I was behind him.

He fell down and fainted and I brought out my knife from my sheath and placed it on his body after I had killed him. So I made the scene look as though they both stabbed each other."

" What" the second guard exclaimed.

"How did you get to the point of killing your fellow clan member"?

"What would you have advised I did, Alpha Kabir had committed a crime that would definitely had implicated us if I didn't do something about it."

" Don't make it seem like I committed a crime, I only did what was best."

" Do you still want the money or not"?

The first guard asked

" Yes I do, but I hope you did a clean job so that no harm would befall on us."

"You are very well, assured that no one would ever find out." The first guard assured. They both heard footsteps coming towards their direction and they both decided to keep silent and go about their daily duties as a guard. Luna Gabrielle who had been eavesdropping every ounce of their conversation felt pained that they had committed such a heinous crime.

The terrible thing about everything was she didn't know who these guards were but one thing she was assured of was the fact that they were dangerous and she felt goosebumps all over her body.

" Oh my my" she whispered to herself pondering on how many more people these evil ones had carried their evil actions on. She just hope that none of them would ever try to hurt anyone in the palace as that became her concern and fear especially for her father whom she loved so much. She felt the need to tell someone but who could she tell moreover she didn't know which particular guards that were having the conversation so who would believe her story she pondered within her. The rain had stopped falling and everywhere in the palace felt calm with it's peace and serenity. Luna Gabrielle went back to her bed and sat on it contemplating of how she could be free from her fears and pain. Maybe one day everything would be over and her father would love her once more like he used to and also consent to her emotions she thought. She laid back on her bed thinking of the good old days when her mother was alive and filled the whole palace with her joy and glory.
