Taking deep, labored breaths, I tried to lift my head which currently weighed a ton. Giving up, I willed my eyes to open, ignoring the ringing in my ears that made everything dull and sluggish making any movement I attempted to make impossible. I closed my eyes and mentally reached out to all my body parts, starting with my fingers which I was glad they moved, I then flexed my thighs and that was when pain pierced through my left leg. That was good right? The pain must have woken my other senses because I could now hear voices calling out names.
