Chapter Twenty-Six “Joel!” she screeched. He was rolling in a sodden brown mess on the floor, blood dripped from his head, creeping in webs through the rain and muck on his face. She wanted to get to him and check to see if he was okay, but she couldn’t, her restraints held her fast. “Joel!” He didn’t respond, but he did move.
