Jon was impressed. He lightly applauded them.
Parrish was surprised. “Every year, Toby changes what’s wrong with the car, and this year he said he made sure nobody would ever get it running.”
“That’s why we came back to finish high school,” said Tyler. “We want to open our own garage, and we figured things would work out better if we had degrees. Fixing that car was no big deal really, we’re ace mechanics. What was hard was paying for the parts. Cars are easy, but I want to work on an Army tank.” He tapped knuckles with his brother.
“So how long will the FBI be protecting you, Dr. Parrish?” asked Brandon.
Agent Rollins jumped when he said it. “You told them?”
“They already knew. I suspect the whole student body knows.”
