MOGEN DEEL Rifle shots rang out in the distance as Mogen Deel inspected the first of several construction projects nestled within a landscape of dense forest and tall cliffs. He reflexively touched his belt to turn on the invisible bullet-proof force field, then shook his head at his cowardice and turned it off again. He’d been skittish like that ever since somebody had blown him up with a rocket in the cave.
