C H A P T E R 4 1:
Chase POV:
I suddenly woke up when I heard crash inside of the room. Lyra’s body is missing and I don’t see any trace of her. I can’t even smell her scent. It worries me so much looking around the room, I saw the window opened puling myself up immediately towards the window to check it. A black owl sitting on the edge of the window came to my view with deadly red eyes looking at my direction. The owl was holding a small envelope using his mouth. We both stared to each other for a while before placing the paper down causing it to land on the floor as he flies away.
That owl, something isn’t right and it’s quite familiar who owns that animal. Taking the paper, I opened it just to reveal a letter. I never been so nervous within my life yet thinking about Lyra ma
