C H A P T E R 8 - Jealousy

The night was fun. Starting having a good conversation with Rowena and Colton after we ate dinner and meeting Zea, Chase sister. I haven't also noticed that Chase was there son, I really thought he was just a relative with them but no.
I am also thankful to Chase because he made me comfortable of all, now my parents and his were talking to the kitchen leaving Zea, me and Chase in the living room talking to each other.
"How come I didn't meet you that early?" Asked Zea pouting her lips.
I 'aww' of how cute she was and I pinch her cheeks smiling at her. "There's a reason why, baby Z. That was the also question in my mind." I said and she nodded.
"But I am happy to meet you now. You really are so pretty and kind." She says hugging me.
Hugging her back, I look to Chase who is frowning in his sit narrowing his eyes to her sister.
"Chase! Don't stare at her like that!" I hissed making him looked at me.
"That is so unfair. I am your friend and I can't have a hug from you but her? She just knew you today!" He protested crossing his arms like a child.
I laugh of his action and patted my other side. Is he like this? Playing childish when he liked a person to accompanied him?
He stands up and walk to our direction sitting beside me still crossing his arms. I laugh again to him before wrapping my arms into his waist side way with Zea still in me hugging me also.
"Better?"
"Nope."
"Why not?"
"Zea was still with you." I groan of how childish my friend is. I didn't know we're becoming too sweet as a friend and wanting to pull me apart to a seven years old little girl who likes me also.
Looking to Zea, I see her eyelashes closing and a yawn escape to her mouth deepening her body to mine.
"Sleepy?" I asked removing my arms into Chase who frowned.
I glared at him before pulling Zea in my lap to make her sleep.
She nodded her head scratching her eyes and lean her head in my chest waiting for her to fall asleep.
"Thank God she's going to sleep." I heard Chase murmured making me give him a pointed look.
"What's with you being sweet with me today?" I asked in whisper to not wake Zea who already asleep in my arms.
"Because I am not going to waste my time now." He said but I didn't understand it.
"What?"
"You are my friend," he gritten his teeth by the words he emphasis before he continued, "I should be sweet to you like friends doing, right?" I nodded my head and tap Zea's head a little.
"Let me carry her upstairs." He pulled Zea in my arms fast in a blink and my mouth parted a little in how the hell did he do that?
Shrugging my shoulder, I lean my body to the soft sofa but before I close my eyes, a hands wrapped around my waist making me jump in surprise.
"Relax, it's just me." Chase said in whisper kissing the side of my head.
"You scared me." I sighed and he putted his body beside me leaning his head in my shoulder still his hands around me.
How did he get here so fast?
"I know." He leans his head of the side of my neck feeling his nose touch my skin and hear him sniffing me, smelling me.
"W-What are you d-doing?" I asked stutter starting to pull away but he grip his hands on my waist.
"Just smelling my girl. You smell good, Lyra. You didn't know how I wanted to smell you as close like this." He breath out sending a shiver into my spine when his breath touched my neck.
A sparks run into my body when his lips landed into my neck before he buries his head deeper to my shoulder hearing his deep breaths.
What is he doing? What is he doing to me? My head is spinning wanting to get close to him more. Why do I feel like I want him to kiss me? I'm going crazy.
I let him be close to him but his warm touch and body pulled away when Levi entered the house with a smile on his face.
"Guess like your boyfriend is already here to fetch you." Chase said coldly removing his body to stand up and walk towards the kitchen leaving me in my position.
What is he talking about?
Why did he tell me that Levi is my boyfriend?
Is he jealous?
"What's up, sis. Miss me?" Levi asked plopping his body next to me kissing my forehead.
"Nothing much." I gave him a fake smile before returning my look to the kitchen where Chase goes in.
What is wrong with him? He's sweet in a minute and now cold? Why does he think that Levi is my boyfriend?
Is he crazy?
"I saw you with the boy before who is hugging you, who is that?"
"That's Chase. Rowena and Colton's son and also my friend." I said looking at him.
He shakes his head chuckling, "I guess he didn't see you as a friend, Ly. He likes you."
"How come you know that? We just met in two days. That was impossible." That is right. We just met in two days. Maybe he is sweet but no, he doesn't like me.
"By his look and action, I know he is. Days doesn't matter, big sis. There is a reason why he acting like that. You have many things that you should know in this town by your own to understand. Soon, you will know why." He winked.
Again? Also him?
"What are you talking about?"
"I already told you. Find out by yourself and you will know why. He's not joking. He likes you. Very much." He stands up going to the kitchen leaving me confuse.
My heart beat beats fast hearing it inside my chest when his words echoed in my ears.
Days doesn't matter, big sis.

"From who?"
"Bradley." as Lauren put her body in my bed bouncing happily for the new.
Today is Thursday, 2 weeks after the dinner and 2 weeks after the conversation with my Brother.
I thought Chase was mad of something after that night but thank God he didn't. It seems like he got something he haven't told me and I'm about to laugh when I remember him saying my brother is my boyfriend.
"Really? The member of the football players? Geez, congrats." I said sarcasm and I heard her groan.
"Ly, he's good okay? I gave him a chance and I hope he won't break it. Trust me with this, he wanted to change." She said softly at me but I still shaking my head.
Bradley was the popular player in school. He almost hooked up with all girls in the campus, well of course except me. Playing around, kissing in the hallway. I don't understand why haven't he got an AIDS.
"Whatever. But if he hurts you, I swear, I will get Fred in my old home town and put him here to bite his d**k until he can't lay to girls forever. I am a devil when it comes to my friends, so he must be careful." I narrowed my eyes into my window crossing my arms.
Lauren chuckles beside me before hugging me side, "I will." She said.
I look to the glass window were my curtains are open widely seeing the view of the back garden. My eyes landed to a pairs of blue eyes who is staring at me intensely and a smile form in my lips waving at him.
"Guess like your prince charming can't take his eyes from you." I heard Lauren said chuckling and I give her a glare.
"He is not my prince charming. Can you all stop saying that?" I hate it. Every time they catch Chase looking to my direction, they always saying he had a crush on me and he can't keep his eyes on me.
Last time when Chase hugged me from behind when we are in school, they thought Chase and I had a thing. I explained everything to them but they won't believe me. Saying that Chase is not like that for them.
"You really so innocent, Lyra. Soon, you will know the truth. But before that, wave your hands to Chase before he thinks that we're ignoring him." She said and start waving her hands to Chase who wave back a little smiling slightly.
Why do they making me confuse all the time? Do I really don't know everything?
I removed all the question in my mind and wave to Chase who shoot me a smirk, winking at me before getting away to the window he standing with.
Okay? What was that?
"I told you, he had something to you. He was different when he's with you, he doesn't act so sweet to others like us except to you. Believe it or not, Lyra. You will find the truth." She said walking out of my room giving me a blow kiss before banging my door close.
