Joy

I went to work as usual and after work I went home.

I was having a headache, but I thought it was a minor one, the one that would come and go.

I woke up at midnight and I was feeling severe pain.

My little sister whom we both sleep in the same room woke up and was worried.

"When did it start" she asked"

"Since yesterday" I replied.

She left the room to inform my parents and they all came to the room, they gave me some things and I felt a little bit relieved.

The next day, they all decided that I should stay at home, which I agreed to.

I slept while my little sister left for school and my parents left for work.

When it was 2:00pm, I heard the sound of knocking and I was surprised because none of my family members should be back by this time.

"Come in" I said.

And I was surprised to see Anderson.

"Anderson, why are you here? How do you know my house?" I questioned him.

"Won't you welcome me first or am I not welcome" Anderson said.

"Oh, sorry, welcome, kindly sit" I said, still surprised.

"Oh, thank you, now I can give answers to your questions. I am here because you ain't in school, since I have been in that school, I am not sure if you missed school a day, and someone told me your house address, are you fine now?"

"Oh, anyways, thank you for coming, I am not feeling fine, that is the reason I wasn't present in school today, but I will resume tomorrow" I said.

"Oh, it's obvious, sorry about that darling, I need to be going before Joy starts getting worried about where I am"

"Joy?"

"Yes, trust me I will be back soon"

And I watched him leave

"Well, that is not my concern" I said feeling disappointed.

I laid down again.

After some minutes, I woke up and got dressed for work.

I heard the sound of a knock on my door again.

"I am back" Anderson said.

"I never thought you would come"

"I said I would, and I did"

"That's good" I said.

"Well, where are you heading to"

"I need to go to work now" I said.

"Work? You are not feeling fine"

"And that doesn't mean I should not go to work" I said.

"You should inform your boss that you are not feeling okay"

"Well, she is a strict woman, 5% would be removed from my salary, I don't want to do that"

"What? You are not feeling well Amalia, your health is important to you"

"I need to go now" I dragged him slowly outside and I locked the door.

We were actually on the way and discussing the same time, it felt good.

"Since when have you been friends with Joy?" I asked him.

"We have been friends since we have been kids, I really can not tell the exact years"

"You guys are just too close"

"Of course, we are very close, visiting each other at home, our parents are business partners and friends" Anderson said.

"Oh, that's cool, she is beautiful"

"Yes of course"

"Huh...? We are there already" I said and continued; you need to start going

"I want to get something for myself, you can proceed with your duty" he said.

"Alright" I said.

Anderson sat down and ordered drinks.

My boss sighted him and went closer to him

"Is this not Mr. Johnson Son, the man who owns a big company"

"Yes I am" Anderson replied.

"Whoa... So celebrities are now coming over to my restaurant to eat, who invited you here" She asked.

"My girlfriend is working here, please I need your help ma, sit down" He said and she sat down.

"She is not feeling fine, she had to miss school, and I was expecting her not to come to work but she insisted" Anderson said.

"Do you mean Amalia" She asked.

Anderson nodded his head affirmatively.

"I want her to stop this work but I can't confront her, I will be giving you double of the salary to be giving her, I don't want her to be stressing herself, when she come, please let her just rest"

"Whoa, you are just too romantic, I wish my daughter would marry such a guy like you, well no problem, I will let her go home now"

"Thank you very much" Anderson was happy.

"Amalia" she called out.

"I am coming" Amalia rushed to meet her boss.

"You did not tell me that you are feeling unwell, you can go home, sorry dear, you didn't tell me you are dating a celebrity now"

"Huh, huh"

"You can go home with your boyfriend, have a nice time" she said.

I didn't know what Anderson had told her, but my boss never acted this nice, I was amazed.

We left there smiling and I don't know where we were heading to.

"I love it when you smile" Anderson said.

"Thank you very much" I said with a smile on my face

"So, I missed you so much today, I miss watching your head at my front in class"

I smiled and asked; "where are we heading to"

"Well, we are going to the hospital, so they can recommend drugs for you"

"But I have no dime with me, don't worry, I will be fine" I said looking furious.

He insisted and we both went to the hospital.

The doctor tested and recommended drugs which we later bought.

He escorted me back home, but I don't know why I was just happy.

The next day, I resumed school happily.

I was sitting on the chair, smiling when I asked myself

"What is going on, why am I smiling?" I asked myself louder, when a voice from the back answered.

"Well, having a sweet soul like me by your side will always make you smile" He said and sat beside me.

I laugh harder and rest my head on his shoulder.

"Thank you for yesterday, but what do you tell my boss, I know her to be a strict woman suddenly she just acted nice"

"Well, know one dare talk to me with a frown face, I am a sweet guy to know"

I couldn't control myself, forgetting we were both in class, I laughed harder.

We continued with our discussion when I felt a knock on my head.

"Ouch, that I hurt, who is that?" I said and Anderson and I turned back to check who it was.

"Why do you do that" Anderson questioned Joy

"So you can ask me? You are diverting the attention to her now, I can see she has used a love spell on you"

"Hey, stop it there, I used a love spell? Me? You have passed your boundary enough, warn yourself" i shunned her.

"Be calm, Amalia" Anderson said.

"Whoa, years of friendship have been destroyed because of her? Now you prefer her to me?" She said and left angrily.

Anderson was confused on what to do and she had to follow Joy, and begged her.

"He should better choose one between Me or her" I said after he followed her

The next day, I was on my way to buy snacks. When I saw Joy and Esther attacked me again.

"Amalia, it seems like you don't want to cooperate, the last time we came here to warn you, you thought we were joking? You do not deserve Anderson, someone like Joy deserves him, you don't even have a sense of fashion, not even that you are beautiful, what are you doing? '' Esther said.

"Well, I guess I should confront him yourself, tell him to stop coming to me, he keeps following me everywhere I go, and now it seems I am also falling for him, instead of coming to confront me when I started loving him, you can confront him, Confront Anderson who has been loving me before I even realize he exists"

I shouted for help, and before I knew it, I saw Anderson coming, those guys ran when they saw him.

"An... An... Ander.. Anderson, what are you doing here" Joy stammered

"What are you all doing to Amalia?" Anderson ran towards them.

"I am sorry" Joy said and ran away with her friend.

My eyes were already filled with tears.

"I was being attacked because of you, firstly it was Joy and Esther and today she invited some guys, I mean can I continue this? I don't want to come in between the both of you, she loves you" I cried

"She is my friend and I do not love her, she is just my best friend, but she passed her boundary already, she hurt my love, even if you are not my girlfriend, I won't tolerate it,I am sorry Amalia, I love you, I am sorry"

"I love you too" I said.
