Bridget returned to herself, her eyes refocusing. The once moonlit forest glowed with dawn's first light. Ezzy sat patiently watching her amidst the roots of a large oak. "Well, child? How was that?" she drawled. Bridget shook her head, completely speechless as she tried to process the over abundance of information. The wind picked up around them as she continued shaking. "Crap.." Ezzy muttered. She raised her hands and a green glow sprang from them to surround Bridget. The wind died down as Bridget visibly relaxed. She was now able to meet Ezzy's eyes. The information was still within her but she would now be able to process it slowly. One thing stood out in particular.. demons. "Demons?" she looked at Ezzy with confusion.
"Yes, child," Ezzy sighed, "Demons. Have a seat, take a deep breath and the information you need will come.."
Bridget nodded and did as instructed, leaning against the trunk of a tree for support. And then the knowledge she needed did indeed come...
The world she knew was one of many parallel dimensions. These dimensions were separate, like the pages of a book. But also like a book, they all touch the Otherplane. The Otherplane was where all the elementals resided. The elementals.. and the demons. Elementals were magical creatures that have properties of their element and could be quite helpful. Demons though, there was nothing helpful about them. Bridget opened her eyes as a name came to her mind.. "Ezzy, who is Leyak?" Ezzy turned to her and met her eyes with a sigh. "Bridget, Leyak is the reason I had to find you. He's a very powerful demon and he's discovered a way to open a portal between the dimensions within the Otherplane. Despite his power however, the portal isn't large enough to bring anything through it. Yet. So he's been going into other dimensions to convince others to join him. Vampires, werewolves, elves, goblins, dark faeries.." Ezzy's voice was thick with emotion, "all the things that in your world that exist only in tales truly exist in other dimensions.. and this one is untouched by them and extremely desirable to such creatures.."
Bridget nodded slowly at first, then again shook her head, "But what is Leyak's role in this? There's more I can tell, I just haven't processed it yet. Please tell me!"
Ezzy sighed and continued, "while your scientists are correct in that energy cannot be created or destroyed, this doesn't include mage energy. A byproduct of life itself, all living things produce mage energy naturally. This energy DOES have the ability to collect, and collect it has here. This planet is teeming with untouched mage energies. Huge, vast pools of them in fact. So much power Leyak would be able to rule the Otherplane. And from there, the other dimensions, one by one.." Ezzy's voice trailed away as she unlocked what Bridget needed to process what else had been loaded into her mind. She stood quietly until Bridget's eyes refocused once more. "Ready for the rest child?" she asked, "this will be a lot. You will wake in your bed after the lesson. Your car and body are waiting at home. Nod when you are ready.."
Bridget took a deep breath and met Ezzy's eyes. She nodded firmly and the green glow surrounded them once more. It began once more..

Leyak exited the conference room with a large grin. Things were going exactly as he planned. He stepped into the elevator, making sure to be completely alone. As soon as the doors closed, he shifted from his form of "Politician" to that of "Human Rights Activist." These humans were ridiculously easy to manipulate. He had been working for months, setting fear into the people to get them to do exactly as he wanted them to.. now that the divisions were in place they just needed pushed and the gaps would grow. Leyak's smile grew even larger.. This was too easy..
