CHAPTER TWENTY ONE
MELINDA'S POV
Kieran found me in the library three days before Marco's wedding, his expression unreadable as he closed the door behind him. I'd been trying to lose myself in a book but my mind kept circling back to Verena's deadline, to the wedding where Belinda would appear, to the impossible situation closing in from all sides.
"We're hosting a dinner party tomorrow night,"he said. "Important business associates, people who need to see that everything is stable with our family."
My stomach dropped. "A dinner party?"
"You'll be the hostess. It's expected."He pulled out his phone, scrolling through something before looking back at me. "Maria will give you the guest list. Study it carefully, these are dangerous men who notice everything."
