I felt like my heart was about to burst from my damn chest. The sound of it pounding in my ears as I gripped the ring box tightly in my hand.
"Katrina, since the moment you came into my life, I knew." I began, seeing her green eyes sparkle as she stared down at me, frozen in place. "I knew everything had changed."
I reached for her scarred hand, holding it gently as I swallowed down the emotion that threatened to spill over any second.
