Strangely enough, it wasn’t just Brad, but quite a number of hunky, muscular boys; looking extremely pale yet their skin glowed and they were absolutely handsome. Something about them stop me dead in my tracks. They all had the same yellow-toned irises and veins protruding more than the average humans would. If I’m not mistaken, it looked as if some substance was visibly coursing through their hands…blood?
The instant I was being stared at by all of them, who now took over the V.I.P. area with girls similar to them and those who were my friends. I didn’t even hear Tyler calling rather I only saw his lips moving. Angel snapped me out of my daze and dragged me downstairs to “dance”.
Angel: “Is it just me or those guys are STEAMINGLY weird, mhmm….or something?
“Yeah.” I gazed upon Tyler who was looking down at me.
Lex: “Those guys are H-O-T! Have I told you how much I love you Jaedae Paris? I’m so glad
we’re best friends.” She hugged me tightly as she cooed sweetly.
Jazz: “Right! I met this one guy who invited me to Brad’s next Friday.”
Rhi: Ughhh…girl you just met that guy. I don’t think he fell in love. Honestly, you all
Dying for nothing. She rolled her eyes and walked away.
Mar: “Jaedae, are you okay?”
“Oh yeah….yeah, I am just in deep contemplation, that’s all. It’s nothing serious.”
“Bad Idea” started playing and I delved into my world of dancing; all while locking in Tyler’s attention. He smiled slightly at me while smirking. From where I was, I could see his hand muscles clenching and unclenching as if he was restraining himself from going somewhere or coming to get me. Simultaneously, I felt a tap on my shoulders and I turned to see Jourdan. Before I could greet him, he pulled me towards the exit of the mansion.
Tyler’s P.O.V.
I rolled my eyes at the scene that just occurred, all while trying to withhold the itching and unbearable ache for my ‘other’ to come out. I hurled over the railings knowing what was pining at my skin to be released. However, after some time I maintained my self-control and I turned to smile dear cousin Brad who was capturing everyone’s hearts.
You see Brad isn’t necessarily the shiniest piece in our family puzzle. Neither are the other boys, but I know they’re good people. However, I know they’ve come to start it up again. I can’t beat family traditions and legacy. I have to keep my eyes on her because Brad has a very defined weakness for girls like her. His weakness makes him blindly rage for what he wants and that means trouble. But…she’s mine! Who? Jaedae, of course. In fact, what she truly is, is like a magnetic force for or kind. Centuries ago there are many of us who would mistake such an attraction for love; she is and forever will be the catalyst that makes or breaks our fate. If you are not compatible or use her for evil, her power could lead to backfiring destruction. So, you see how the love-hate relationship between her and our kind works.
Brad: “Oooh Tyler?! What’s your lovely lady’s name?”
I stared expressionlessly at him. I mean, is it so hard to know her name; it’s plastered all over this place.
Taylan: “Don’t answer him. You know you don’t have to.”
Brad: “Oh, oh, my bad. No worries, I’ll find out some way. Besides, I don’t want the big bad
heir of the damned to flare up.” He pulled his arms over my shoulders.
I watched as Taylon’s veins pulsed immensely and his eyes flicker from a normal hazelnut brown to sky blue. The Valesquez was and is the direct line of royal blood and hybrids; mixed with two genetic blood types, which is why we are the most powerful and sought-after lineage of our time. Accordingly, it was not difficult for us to mark our dominance over this strange world and times we live in. Our empire is vastly spread throughout the world and our power is to no end. Anyway, Brad’s girlfriend, I assume, was finally here so at least he’ll keep his eyes off Jaedae.

Jaedae’s P.O.V.
The red lunar eclipse was starting to levitate in the beautiful assortment of brightly twinkling stars that brought out the magnificence of the dark blue skies. While looking out at the scenery, I felt hot breathing down the back of my neck and soon arms pulled my waist so I lean on the person, Tyler.
“Babe?” I said as his head pressed against my shoulder.
Tyler: “I haven’t had a chance to dance with the birthday girl yet. Shall we have this dance, my
most precious gem? “
“Of course.” I smile brightly at him.
Brad: “You know I-“
Tyler: “Come, come baby.” He rasps rather seductively causing a huge heat of red to engulf my
cheeks as he pulled me down the steps.
Instead of heading to the dance floor, Tyler and I went out to the pool. We made out for the longest while. After we calmed ourselves, Tyler engaged me in a slow and sultry movement to the serene music playing in the background. Suddenly, he hugged me from behind while his lips attached to my neck; affecting my ability to keep my eyes wide open.
Brad’s P.O.V.
“You need to get here ASAP. We can’t afford to lose him nor can we hope he’ll break the tradition. That and she hasn’t fell for my charms nor my tricks which is strikingly alarming. Time to play!” I growl lowly and my voice getting deeper while on the call.

Soon enough a whole barrage of black Cadillac vehicles pulled up at the front of the mansion. However, nothing seemed to stop the excitement and hyped up party going on inside. As soon as we were making our way out of Tyler’s car, people dressed in full black velvet robes blockaded the front of the mansion; with them were Brad and his entourage in front.
Tyler was immovable in the driver’s seat; staring at something or…
A girl in a crimson red dress, from the only white Cadillac SUV, emerged from it and within my sight. I watched as she joined by Brad’s side. She was nothing compared to my beauty, nevertheless, she still held some presence about her. All the same, her weird greenish-yellow eyes shun like lightning bolts about the pale bodies surrounding her and the parameters of the building. Her along with her people, looked they woke up on the wrong side of death. I’m just glad they couldn’t see us but we could.
To say I had the slightest idea of what was going on, I’d be lying. However, I can’t help but feel that this is all connected to what has been happening to me recently. Even worse, the voice in my head was even louder than usual and I felt something bubbling inside me.

Jaedane and his friends came outside now, and from our view, they had inched awfully closer with nonchalant expressions on their faces. Something was clearly wrong. It did not take much for me to step out and be in defence of my brother. In the meanwhile, I called on our security as I was strutting up to the intruding parties. I slightly flinched when all of them swiftly turned, and Brad and the girl smiled creepily at me with fangs…fangs peeking out their mouths.
Girl: “Ah, this is the beauty belonging to Tyler I presume?”
?: “Mhm, as if!” Another girl stopped behind the other sending sharp eye daggers at me. That
is the very same girl who kissed Tyler on the field that day. Of course, she’d be here too.
Girl: Quiet Emily, you already failed your mission!” She snaps at her while the girl cowers and
pulls behind a robed figure.
Brad: “But of course she is beautiful.” He steps forward and both the girl and he reached out to touch my face.
Tyler: “Don’t touch her Myra!” He pulls me protectively behind himself.
Myra: “Mhmm…This…this is what gets you to come out of hiding?” She scowls.
Jaedane: “Why don’t you all just leave?1” He groans and his friends nod in agreement.
Brad: “Or what-“
Myra: “Now, now. That isn’t any way to treat one’s guest, is it?
“Actually…you weren’t even invited nor do I know of your existence?” I chuckled dryly.
At that point, something coursed within me, and my blood level felt as if it was about to erupt. Jaedane held my hand tightly as I tried my best to constrain the heaviness, the rapid flashes of visions and power that took over my mind and body. Just a glimpse at the fixed red eclipse, and I saw my skin glowing emerald green all over. Then my eyes fell back on the group before me with a more fighting vengeful spirit raging and roaring to go.
Myra: “This can’t be.” She says in disbelief as they all backed away and shrieking in fear.
Your eyes… they enhance the light of the eclipse of the sun and moon. Emerald green
which holds a hint of dark blue and blood red. No! You can’t be alive!”
I looked at Jaedane to make sense of what she was saying but his eyes held no answers.
Jaedane: “It’s time you know what you are Jaedae, that’s if, she hasn’t introduced herself to you
already.”
“What?” I muttered hearing the echoes of another voice(s) reverbing from my own mouth.
Brad & Tyler: “Ilitia.”
Confusion continued to lace my face, even so as I saw the colour in Jaedane and his friend’s eyes brighten and shun blue. I looked at my eyes through the glass of the Cadillac. Suddenly, my body was conquered and something rather someone made me smirk. After that, I was no more and everything went dark.
