Wyatt
After I killed that f*****g Beta, I ordered Dean to leave the last wolf alive, barely, despite wanting to rip him to shreds for hurting our mate. We see the Beta shift back to human form, and I recognize him as the Beta to Alpha Klaus.
Whoops, my bad.
Well, sort of, I don't particularly f*****g care. He shouldn't have gone after my mate, Dean, or the females.
Once Dean has subdued that stupid wolf enough, I shift back and see my mate on the floor with the others tending to her wounds.
I gesture to Dean to bring that wolf over to me.
“Shift!” I command him, and he instantly shifts back but has the gall to snarl at me.
Dean shifts and backhands him.
“Judging from your scent and your former Beta, you fuckers are from Klaus’s pack. What do you want the females for?” I ask him, letting my aura out a touch.
He grits his teeth, refusing to answer. Oh, no fucker, you don't, I think to myself, as a smug smile forms, joining Dean's smug expression. Again, not many know just how powerful I am. Dean is one of the few who knows, and he knows I could easily kill him just with the force of my aura.
I push out a little more, not full force, as I don't want to kill him yet, and he starts to whimper from the pressure. "f*****g answer me, and I'll make your death quick and painless. Your choice."
“That girl belongs to our Gamma. We didn’t expect the others. Since we don’t have many high-ranking females, why not take these ones too?” He says with a sneer, his eyes going to something behind me, licking his lips.
I look over my shoulder and see what he’s licking his lips to, and I let out a possessive, angry growl and punched him in the face, hearing his jaw and nose crack.
“She’s mine, you pathetic f*****g piece of s**t!” I snarl while he grunts in pain.
“Hold him. I’ll be back in a minute.” I tell Dean, who has his hand wrapped around the fucker’s neck and his foot on his injured leg, pressing on it to keep him subdued. Dean is usually very passive and calm, but the man can do damage when push comes to shove. I’m very proud of my Beta.
“Let me know when I can kill this piece of shit.” Dean growls.
I nod, walking over to where the others are.
It pains me to see my mate taking a protective stance or trying to do so due to her injured back; she can't stand very well, all because she feels scared and threatened by me.
The cook also stands and slightly moves protectively in front of her, letting out a slight warning growl. After I tell them I want to help, I watch my mate's eyes roll back, fainting from the blood loss, falling to her side behind him. I move, wanting to help, but the cook stops me from getting closer, and I growl.
"Back the f**k up." He growls back.
“Just want to f*****g help her. She's my mate," I growl, shoving his hand off my chest. I turn my gaze to the woman who is softly cooing to my mate. "We don’t wish you any harm and are no threat to you, but please help her,” I assure and plead with them.
The older lady leans, whispering something into my mate's ear before she walks towards me.
I don't let on that I heard what she whispered. I don't trust them enough to let on that I'm more powerful than most Alphas and that my senses are far greater than theirs, meaning I heard the warning she gave my mate, but my curiosity about that will have to wait another day.
“Robbie, can you watch…” She trails off, indicating my mate with her eyes.
The cook, Robbie, looks at her with uncertainty, and she gives him a soft smile, nodding with assurance.
“Take her inside the diner and get Angie as well. I will be fine with Alpha Wyatt.” She tells him, but he hesitates to move.
“Are you sure he can be trusted?” He asks, and I scoff, feeling a little offended.
“Yes. They helped us, didn't they?” She says unconvincingly.
“Sure, but he said that she is his…” He trails off, glancing at me warily. s**t, his hearing is good.
The lady lets out a small chuckle. “Not in the way that you are thinking of. This Alpha is her mate. Fated mate.” She emphasized, and I looked at her in confusion this time. How did she know that?
“Robbie, honestly, I will be fine, and she needs help, so please just go!” She says a little more forcefully, and he huffs.
I watched him carefully pick up my mate, and I let out a slight, possessive growl, which made the young girl hiding behind the older woman whimper in fear.
“Easy Alpha.” The older woman warns me.
I shake my head to snap out of it. Right, not now, but f**k, I can’t help it.
“Sorry, I didn’t mean to scare you. It’s just….” I gesture to the man who is carrying my mate inside the diner.
“I know, but still.” She says sternly, still in protective mode.
The girl is about to follow when I stop her. “Excuse me, can you hang back a moment, please, miss?” I ask.
“What is this about?” The older one asks, suspicious of my intentions.
“There's no need to be afraid. I just want to ask her some questions, and then she can go, I promise.” I assure them gently.
“Really?” They both ask, and I nod.
“Yes, as I said, we are no threat to you. First, what are your names?”
They look at each other, and the older lady frowns. “That’s a first.” The woman mutters under her breath.
“My name is Tess, and this is Freya.” The older woman, Tess, answers.
“Pleasure to meet you both. Now that I know your names, I want to apologize again for scaring you earlier. It wasn't mine or my Beta’s intention. Between the fighting and me finding my mate, it’s been an eventful night, to say the least.” I let out a small chuckle, hoping to ease them.
The cook comes back out and hands me some pants. s**t, I forgot I was naked this entire time. No wonder they were uncomfortable around me, especially the young girl.
“Thank you. Do you have another pair for my friend?” I ask, quickly putting them on.
The cook nodded, went over to Dean, and they switched places. The cook held the warrior while Dean got dressed. I gestured to Dean to bring him over to where I was standing.
“I will make this quick promise. Gamma Freya, he said you were part of Alpha Klaus’s pack. Is that right?” I ask her, and both women look at me with surprise. I don’t know why, but that's a question for another day.
Freya glances quickly behind me, nodding her head albeit shakily before ducking behind Tess, holding her hand like a lifeline the entire time.
“Yes. He’s one of the warriors who used to…” She shakily trails off, her voice above a whisper, with Tess cooing to calm her before turning to the warrior and snarling loudly.
“You f*****g piece of shit.” She growls and spits on him.
The warrior growls back at her. “How dare you, she-wolf?!”
Robbie snarls, pulling his head back by grabbing harshly on his hair.
Before anyone could blink, Tess let out a loud feral growl and slashed his face with her claw, and her other claw slashed his genitals, effectively ripping off his d**k. He howls in agony while Dean, Robbie, and I wince and grimace at the bloody sight.
Freya screamed at the bloody sight before her. Based on her reactions and her small stature, it's clear that this poor girl has been through a lot. On the other hand, Tess is definitely not someone to be trifled with, judging from the feral, sadistic grin she's sporting.
In fact, she looks f*****g scary.
“It’s okay, sweet girl. He will never hurt you or anyone else ever again. I promise.” She gently assures, but refrains from touching her due to all the blood.
Wow, this woman went from psychotic to maternal within 2 seconds. f*****g whiplash! I shake my head at the sight.
“Ooh, that looked like it hurt.” Dean taunts with a chuckle. “Something tells me you deserved that.”
The warrior is heaving in agony, glaring at Tess.
Tess looked at Dean and me before turning her gaze back at the warrior, grabbing his jaw, and her bloody claws digging into his skin with a sinister chuckle.
“He did. Why do you think I cut off his d**k? I'm not normally this violent, but stupid men with small d***s who r**e defenseless girls tend to bring it out of me.” She snarled in his face.
“I was gonna send you back, alive, with a message for my so-called ex-mate and brother, but I changed my mind when Freya pointed you out as one of her tormentors, so your corpse will have to do.” She tells him with a nasty growl and quickly plunges her hand into his chest, ripping out his whole spinal cord.
The girl’s shocked gasps mirror mine and Dean’s reaction. f**k, she’s brutal! And powerful. She must be a high-ranking wolf. Maybe her father is an Alpha?
“Who is your mate and brother?” I ask after a moment of stunned silence.
Shit, I really did not expect that.
Tess turns to me, rage still blazing in her eyes. She shakes her head and takes a deep breath, calming herself down.
“Ex-mate, and it doesn’t matter.” She snarls, looking down at her bloody hands.
She pulls up her shirt, using it to wipe some of the blood off her hands. Robbie goes up to her for comfort, but she pushes him away, shaking her head at him, and then turns her gaze to me.
“For hurting this young girl or any of the others I've come across, I won’t hesitate to put any of those nasty fuckers down.” She says firmly.
“Disgusting pigs, thinking they can do whatever they want.” She murmurs, looking at the corpse.
Again, I’m left stunned. We are all by her words.
“Okaaay, what the hell is going on?!” Dean asks, obviously confused, and frankly, so am I.
She lets out a bitter chuckle. “You really need to come out of that pack of yours.” She scoffed, looking at us.
“What’s that supposed to mean?” I ask.
“What do you care, and why are you here?” She retorts.
“I had a meeting with the council, and rather than have them come to my pack, I went to them. I don’t want them anywhere near my pack.” I answered, keeping my answers vague.
“Why?”
“Because I don’t trust the council.”
“At least we can agree on that.” She murmurs.
“So, Alpha Wyatt, answer me this…” She says, eyeing me up and down suspiciously.
“Are you like your father and these other Alphas, or are the rumors about you true?” She asks, raising a brow at me.
“I don’t know what rumors you are referring to or in regards to my father, but I think certain Alphas are f*****g disgrace, so f**k no.” I firmly and proudly tell her, crossing my arms over my chest.
“It’s true, Miss Tess. Alpha Wyatt is a strong, kind, and fair Alpha.” Dean says from behind me, and I raise a brow at his choice of words.
‘Kind? Really?’ I ask through the link.
‘Dude, these women are scared, and it’s obvious they do not trust us, plus we need info.’ He answered without looking at me, and I turned my gaze back to Tess.
Tess hums for a moment, looking us over. I think she’s trying to decide whether we can be trusted, and I sigh, scrubbing my face. I need to get to my mate, so I need to hurry this up.
“Look, what we witnessed and heard tonight is something we want to look into, as it might also be connected to something we are working on. So, if the rumors you mentioned is me not leaving my pack often until recently, it’s because I’ve had quite a few pack members, she-wolves, vanish over the last couple of years.” I tell them.
Tess’s eyes go up in horror. She turns to look at Angie, who's standing by the diner's door with a similar expression.
“Look, after the famous Luna Corinna debacle, a lot of she-wolves ran to my pack, knowing I would never turn them away and keep them safe, and they were until they began disappearing, and despite feeling their pack links breaking, I know they didn't run away, someone was taking them by force. We found a she-wolf recently near our borders who told us Alpha Damon’s pack had kidnapped her before she died. Going off that and what we have witnessed tonight, there is more to it, right?” I ask, getting a sick feeling in my gut.
Tess stares at me momentarily, taking in everything, and gestures to Angie to come down. They speak briefly before both come up to me again, while Robbie and Freya go inside the diner this time.
“First of all, I am sorry to hear what is happening in your pack, especially at the hands of my s**t brother,” Angie says, slightly growling in anger before shaking her head.
“Now that I know who you are, I also want to apologize for my hostile behavior earlier.” She says, and I nod my head, accepting her apology.
“And yes, there is far more to it,” Tess answers, and Angie nods in agreement but doesn't say anything more. It’s obvious they still don’t trust me.
“How about I tell you something as a show of faith?” I tell them, and that catches their attention.
“What do you want in return?” Tess asks, almost growling.
“I would like to meet you and ask you questions about, well, f*****g everything from your perspective, and maybe we can work together. I'm sure we can all f*****g agree that s**t can’t carry on like this.” I say to Tess, who seems to be deep in thought.
I turn to Angie.
“The council informed us that two females went missing, Gamma Freya being one and the other a pack member of yours. I don’t know her name, only that she is 18 and a delta,” I say, and their eyes widen at the mention of the girl.
“Angie, call A and find the girl like now!” Tess frantically orders.
Angie nods and runs inside the diner.
Tess mutters, ‘I hope we find her soon’ under her breath before turning to me. “You can find me here from 10 am until 4 pm.” She says sharply.
“One more thing: You hurt my girl, and I will gut you like a pig.” She snarled, turning away and walking towards the diner.
“Are you coming or what?”
