She knew at once that her cup had run full, it was now flowing excessively and there was nothing she could do. It was the last drop of water that had broken the vase, yes, it was.
She was already feeling pain from staying in this position for too long, she needed to move, but she couldn't, that huge man was pressing her with his hand.
There was no way she was going to allow this to intimidate me, not today nor ever, she opened her mouth to speak, to retaliate but she was not given the chance to even make a sound.
"I said..."
Her voice trailed out, it was enveloped in Adrian's husky voice, he meant business with me today, there was no way I was pretty going to escape that judgment.
"You shut the f**k up and listen, young lady," he asserted.
'Was this man crazy? had he lost his mind to talk to me in that manner, did he even know who I was?'
Her mind kept bombing these many questions to myself, it was so frustrating.
He continued again, this time giving her orders to exhibit. He started by releasing his weight on her, she felt a bit relieved, it was a good thing he thought it wise to do so first.
She managed to shift those crutches away from my side, freeing me from the excruciating pain it caused me, I felt so many pains.
"I'll make this rapid for you and I, so we can both avoid the eyes of these people who have started piquing interest in the drama we are both performing. Let me see your leg, Jessica," he said opening his hand so that she could put my leg in it.
She attempted lifting her leg but it was too heavy and painful, so in a weeny voice she said,
"Sorry, but I can't, it is so heavy as it hurts a lot, I think that I have injured it," she replied.
"Wait, I'll check it in such a way that it doesn't hurt okay?" he questioned his voice very sweet.
She nodded her head looking at him with ice-cold glares.
"Fine, you should better accept, I do not want more people staring at us as they already are," Adrian said.
He slowly stretched her leg which was on the grass, he inspected it closely and then shook his head in resignation.
"I think you find pleasure in wounding yourself right? I think you have a lesson to learn from these experiences unless they aren't that painful to you," he spat out.
"What lesson?" she badged in arrogantly.
My pitch was high so it sounded like she was being rude to him, immediately, the warnings he give to me the last time played a negative effect on me because she got frightened and therefore decided to rephrase my sentence.
She started by apologizing,
"I am sorry, please what lesson am I supposed to learn?"
She questioned swirling her head away from his, averting his troublesome eyes.
He noticed that she had restructured her sentence so he decided to make a little remark about it before telling me the lesson she was about to learn.
"I am happy you are learning so fast," Adrian started sarcastically.
Continuing, he decided to answer her question.
"The lesson you are supposed to learn is that; you should stop running away from me. This is because every time you try walking out on me, it always ends up with an injured leg. You let me walk you out, or still let's go together, it will save you from extra pain okay?" he sighed.
It was true what he was saying, he did have an idea about these things he was saying, she decided to consider it, just that pride would let her.
Shouting at the top of her voice she said,
"Mr. Arrogant, you can as well keep your advice for yourself,"
she muttered nonchalantly.
Adrian wanted to make her feel bad held her leg some more and she screened out saying,
"Please Adrian stop, that hurts, please Adrian," I begged to cry. He had a tissue in his hand and was dabbing my wound with it. The stone had made her incur a minute injury on her knee, it was really painful, and she suffered terribly from that anguish.
"Hush Jessica, we are having a crazy amount of people staring at us," he let out.
"I do not care, they should look at me for fall I care, being with you is the highest stigma that could ever happen to me, it was enough embarrassment for one person," she spoke out in pain.
Jessica's pale face looked flushed as he found it hard to believe my words. As a means of revenge, he dabbed the tissue one more time hard on her wound and threw the tissue at me. The excruciating pain made her burst out crying, she was bent on being a crybaby this instant.
She let her ready-made tears flow freely from my eyes, and she let them wash her cheeks until an old lady that was walking by commented sadly to their hearing.
"So bad for this well-dressed man to treat his woman badly," Her words made me smile, as it was a punch to his ego. Hiding her face, she let more tears flow down her cheeks freely. Making him know that she was serious about crying, she increased her wails and covered her tear-streaked face with her big palms. Another lady that was watching them said,
"Sir, make the lady stop,"
People were beginning to talk about it, and they all spoke in her favor, it was all to support her, and they pleaded justice for her Sake. That made her feel glad as she could still see that people could still side with women.
Peeping through the holes of her fingers, she saw a frustrating Adrian scratch his hair in thought. Going on one knee, he brought his fingers to touch her which washes her face but she shouted at him,
"Stay away from me," she knew she was just being a drama queen, and just wanted some attention, while her heart skipped with happiness about getting some.
He was so confused, he wanted her to stop those pansy ways of hers. There was no way to stop now, not when she was enjoying the fun, a very sweet entertainment to my soul.
"Cutie bear?" I am sorry about this, you know I would be crazy if I willingly hurt you right? please forgive me and let this drama end now?" he let out.
"How did he know I was acting? what will make him even think so? God! he guessed right I guess, there was no way I could stop myself from the light giggles that threatened to escape my mouth," Jessica thought internally.
She allowed him to remove her hands from her face, exposing her face which tears had stained on it.
"I do not know why, but the population is crazily increasing by the minute, can I take you home please?" he inquired.
"No, it's okay, I will manage my way home __alone__ so if you do not mind, you can leave me here," she let out.
She knew this was an impossible mission, there was no way that Adrian will accept to go home without her, absolutely no way at all.
"For heaven's sake, Jessica, you are just being too irrational, come on now let us go," he said urging me to go.
"No! please let me be, I said I will go home alone, on my own," she spoke back at him.
He gave her a long hard glare that spoke of his bitterness, she thought he wished he could slap her since but his male code deprived him of doing such especially as we had an audience, a growing one for that matter.
An idea seemed to strike his mind, and he stared at her with the words already spilling out of his mouth. He removed his hands from her, standing from the ground, he shot the question to her face.
"Show me the transport with which you wanted to pay the taxi driver with it," he fired at me crossing his arms.
"Pardon?" she questioned feigning not to have heard what he said.
"I know you heard me well, sweetie, so answer me and I will leave you here to fend for yourself," he answered.
She gulped hard, and she did not know what to say, immediately, she thought about lying, yes, she was eager to lie to save herself.
"I have money," she told an untruth.
"Can I see it?" his question came in powerfully.
She knew she had fallen into his trap, he did not ask for my permission to do what he had in mind in doing, she just saw his hands move in a swift moment circling themselves around me.
"Ahh! Put me down you giant troll," she screamed. The people that were watching burst out laughing. She felt embarrassed that people had heard me insult him in such an ugly manner, she was so uncomfortable. She did not have the right to insult Adrian in public, that was a taboo to his ego.
In a deadly voice, he whispered promising her,
"Jessica, I will deal with you, I promise you that," he let out silently.
