"He is so handsome, and above that, he is the quiet type just as I wish for in a man", another one cried out. But Zoe, who wanted to be the mistress of all, flaunted herself before him while rubbing her body on his. Benny and the other guys who were present at the gym doing their workouts, could not bear to see the disgrace that Zoe was showcasing without any crumb of dignity in her.
" I do not like girls who have no iota of self-worth like you dear, so can you just get lost now", Gael said softly but it was enough for everyone present to listen to it. Melanie, who could not contain herself, laughed out loud while the other ladies followed.
Gael could not stand girls who were like liza and Zoe was the perfect example of such. Picking up his bag and walking towards Benny and the other guys, he wished them a nice day and told them that he was pleased to see new people.
"But bro, what is your secret to such an amazing fitness. Just take a look at those ladies wanting to have a bite of you at any cost", one guy someone out but Gael turned his head and looking back at the girls especially Zoe, told them that he was just a simple guy like the rest of them.
Walking out of the gym, he turned back and smiled at them while he left. Gael had to go back to his mom so as to target the next place where he was going to see Yvonne again. He had the list of all the possible places where she will go to especially during weekends so he had to be there.
Yvonne is in her house but everything seems too bitter to her. She was gradually losing herself and needed help but since she had never been in love, she could not understand how different it hits to cry on a man's shoulder. Picking up her phone to call Tasha her friend, it was impossible to still for her because she felt like she needed to let her be for some time.
" Yvonne stop being a cry baby. Take a shower and go out, you will feel good", she murmured, and thinking of the beachside where she always went whenever she was not feeling okay, she went into her kitchen and had some water to drink, while she made some sandwiches to take along with her.
Everything seemed to be boring, and her life was not as easy as everyone thought it was. Yvonne wished for weekends to come when it was weekdays, but as soon as they appeared, she felt so lonely and miserable that she began to pray for it to get finished so that she could go back to work.
Putting on the stove, she chopped fresh carrots and green beans just the way that her nanny had shown her, and while letting out a smile, she thought back to her nanny whenever she did something like her. Her mind narrowly escaped from the kitchen, while making its way to everything that she always told her when she was small.
Her nanny was more like a mother to her whereas her biological mom spent her time making an effort to please that imbecile she married and called a husband. All her senses were focused on him so much that Yvonne use to think that might be it was a case of black magic.
"How can someone love another perish more than her child?", she muttered while chopping up the other ingredients to mix with the one that was already steaming inside the pot, but as always, she had no answers to her questions. Letting out a deep sigh, she turned around each time to check on her pot so as not to let it burn. Then with sadness on her face, she contained back with her thoughts.
Yvonne was pretty and smart and she was able to attract any man that she wanted, but the emptiness in her heart had clouded her sense of reasoning when it came to falling in love. Adding everything inside the pot, she smiled at how song the combination was already turning and putting in a pinch of salt, she took out her minced garlic and beef which she added into it before adding some oil and seasoning.
Yvonne was more of a vegan when she was small, but the growing passion to have something different and better filled her being especially when she became friends with Tasha. She had this captivating manner of eating things that could make anyone want to have a bite she was eating, so were her cooking skills as well.
Doing her finishing touches in the kitchen, she wrapped everything and placed them in her little box while going inside the room to get a cloth and her and. She came back to the kitchen where she took out her little cooler and put in some cold bottles of juice while taking some ice bags as she will need them.
" Oh, I have forgotten my umbrella", she exclaimed, putting the other stuff down and walking into her storage to get it. The sun was overheated, so she had to be prepared. She walked out of her apartment, heading for her car. Her mood was slowly turning around and she could already picture how the beach was with all the kids that will be running with laughter on their faces.
Lisa was walking around Gaels home waiting for him to show himself so that she could pick a fight with him but what she was not aware of was that his mother was at home that day and had not gone to the hospital like she normally does.
"I have to know whether he is avoiding me because of another lady or something else", she murmured while keeping her gaze at his entrance in order not to lose him out of her sight.
Catching a glimpse of Gael coming out of his house, she was amazed at the kind of clothes he was putting on. He looked so good that someone might think that he is from a very wealthy home or better still z he was the owner of something huge himself.
"Where could be going to be dressed like this?", Lisa murmured but having no answers, she decided not to confront him anymore, but rather, she was going to follow him up so as to catch him right-handed.
" I am going to see the lady that has taken your heart away from me Gael".
Taking a look at himself, Gael wished his mom a nice day and told her that he was going to have some time off with his friends.
"Take care son and remember not to cause any trouble with anyone out there okay?", she let out and Gael always listening to his mom's advice, gave her a sweet smile as he placed a kiss on her forehead.
" I will be back before you even start to feel my absence mom, I promise", he said.
His mother was glad to have someone like him and all she wished for was his happiness no matter what he ended up doing. She had brought him up alone and seeing him always in such a happy mood was enough for her to keep on living though they did not have much.
"Oh, thank goodness I did not approach him like his mother would have poured out insults on me", she spoke out holding her chest. She monitored Gael to make sure that he had completely left his house and his mom's sight before starting to follow him.
Lisa was bent on discovering where he was heading to and who he was going to meet. Her heart was going to be at peace only after knowing that there was no other woman in his life apart from her.
" This is good", Yvonne muttered as she entered the beach and caught sight of how beautiful it was surrounded by people and children most especially. It was a weekend and she was aware that the place was going to be crowded with kids and their parents as well.
Spotting a favorable place to put her umbrella, she walked towards it and looked all around to see whether she was bothering anyone, the view was clear enough.
"Okay, I am going to put my stuff here, while I make the most of my time here".
Yvonne began to mount her umbrella before placing her cover under it. Taking a look at it, she was wondering whether to take off her jeans and top to join the others inside the water, but a voice told her to just stay there and watch the others have a good time.
It was soothing to be around people sometimes and to watch how the innocence of kids filled everywhere with joy and serenity. Opening her cooler, she made sure to clip her keys to her trousers in case she was going to forget where she had kept them.
The vapor that came out of the cooler when she opened it, gave her the eagerness to unlock a bottle of cold juice. It was perfect timing for all that she needed to have a great moment. Placing the bottle on her lips, she could feel its coldness and when the liquid slipped into her mouth making its way into her esophagus, Yvonne felt it going down in her system till finally meeting its final destination which was her stomach.
" This is so good", she acknowledged. Not being a fan of alcohol, Yvonne always preferred to drink soft drinks. She always felt that alcohol was not a problem solver rather, it was going to make you forget it for a while and come back fully when you are in your right frame of mind.
Gael was already at the back following Tasha's descriptions of the places Yvonne had the habit of frequenting during her free times and catching a glimpse of her, a smile cropped upon his lips while he shook his home ad in awe saying,
"You know your friend so well Tasha, and it seems like it is very easy to make out her program as she is always in solitude", he whimpered thinking of a way to approach her without having to seem so obvious.
Not knowing that he was being followed, Gael thought of inserting his earpiece and walking by the waterside as though he was there just like every other person. He thought that she was going to be better this time around than their first encounter at the gym.
Adjusting his shirt and putting on his glasses, Gael took off his shoes and began to stroll by the river banks, looking at the birds in the sky and the different feelings that the kids were having. It was a great experience as that was the second thing he was facing that day and it was all new to him, because of the kind of place that he had grown up in.
He did not have the opportunity to play on the beach like the other kids, but he and his friends always went to the little stream that was on their way to the farm where they will jump inside and swim all day.
Yvonne was having a pretty good time and all her worries seemed to have melted with the overheated sun that was out in the atmosphere. But when she had drunk up two bottles of soft beverage already, she decided to lay down and enjoy the sweet cold breeze that was blowing hard.
She had miser that beach and its memories of when she was young till she was growing up. It was her favorite spot and her daddy always loved to bring her over there whenever she was sad or faced with challenges.
