Lisa, searched her head asking whether it was a good idea to go meet him when his mother was around but Gael was the love of her love life though she could not stay without having other men because they gave her the money and affluence that she needed. Just as she was thinking, her phone vibrated on the little table by her bedside, and standing up to go check on it, her face was brightened with a smile as the call was going to bring her some good cash added with a promising treatment and nice clothes and shoes. Taking the call, she felt relieved from the pain that she was feeling had suddenly disappeared. Yvonne was done drinking her garden egg sauce and she could not hide the fact that she had enjoyed it. Everything seemed to be perfect with it and not even a shame, she told Gael's mom that she wishes to learn the special recipe to make that kind of soup as well. "I will show it to you child," she mumbled making her very happy. It could be seen that the soup had some good effects on her as she was able to move her arms slowly. Drinking hot soup was good for the body especially during cold weather like the one they were in so its effect was already been felt in her as the warmness disseminated. "Are you feeling okay now?" Gael consulted and Yvonne nodding her head agreed to his question. His mom feeling embarrassed over the issue, apologized once more for not having any television sets or even DVDs players to entertain her but she promised that she could show her around the settlement tomorrow and that was if her leg was feeling better though. Thinking about her leg, she asked how she was feeling and remembered that she had to apply some rub on it again before she could go back to bed. Yvonne not liking the sound of it, tremble after listening to her talk about massaging her again. She was already having tears in her eyes but Gael's mom reminded her that it was for her good if not she will not be able to walk tomorrow. Imagining how awkward the situation will be as she only knew of the traditional way of making her feel better, she told her about Gael's massage stories and let her know that he was brutal while massaging others, a smile was seen on Yvonne's lips. His mother jokes were cheering her up and noticing that Gael was not talking most of the time, she asked him why he was always quiet and his mother responded immediately saying that he had always been like that and that was a trait that he took from his late father. Yvonne had thought that he was quiet most of the time just because he was extending but getting to know him better, made her feel something for him that was not supposed to be happening. She felt secure with them most especially with Gael. Her eyes could not stay off him and her lips were itchy. His mom feeling tired, told Yvonne that she was going to sleep in Gael's room. Feeling awkward about the situation, she looked at him and with a sad look, she shuddered her head in denial. Gael and his mom were amazed by her reaction so asking why she refused, she said that she did not want to cause any trouble to him or make him feel uncomfortable so she was going to manage the mat. Gael looked at her and the laughter that had suddenly constructed on his throat, could not sit there anymore as he burst out laughing. Feeling confused, his mother asked why he was laughing and he said, "Mom, she thinks this is her castle where she sleeps on soft beds, please tell her a little bit what the floor does to people especially with that sift skin of hers," he spoke out. Yvonne glancing at him laugh so much understood the gravity of what was going to happen but before she could say another word, he had stood up from his seat and started to walk in the direction of his room. "Hey, young man stop there, she is our guest so she will sleep wherever I say she will, do you give attention to me?" she scolded. The smile on Gael's face had vanished that time but he was doing that on purpose just to nerve the hell out of Yvonne. She was sweet but sounded stupid sometimes as he could not start to imagine why she will be given a bed, but rather she will prefer to sleep on the ground. "Thank you, ma'am," her sweet and innocent voice gave way but Gael's mom noticed that her countenance had changed due to the little scenario that had happened, told her not to worry, and to give her some minutes to go fix where she will spend the night. Yvonne was feeling happy having to be understood by her but turning her gaze to Gael, he seemed not to like the idea and was creating her in a funny way. His stares were frightening but he was caring as well. "You should be happy, turning mother against her son," he murmured going through his phone. Yvonne did not want to talk about it as he was wrong but his words kept on hurting her. She felt bad about his thinking about who she was but not wanting to prove anything to him, she slowly apologized for making him feel that way, and just when she thought it was over, he looked at her straight in the eyes and said, do you think I will believe you?. Yvonne did not know what his problem was so she asked him why he was behaving that way all of a sudden towards her but his look changed everything and with his mouth opened, he told Yvonne to get well soon and return to her house. She could not take the humiliation anymore so she struggled to stand up wanting to search for her things to go back home but Gael caught sight of her and rushed towards her asking where she was going to but Yvonne already angry and depressed, slapped his hands off her and said, "I am not your kid that you can toil with okay? one minute you are sweet and the next you act like some demons from the pit of hell," Gael thought that the agony her leg was giving her was felt in her voice but he was wrong as it was his unstable attitude that was driving her crazy. Her eyes were watery and her heart was rising in her chest. She told him that she was there but it was not as though she liked it so if he wants her to leave then she was going to leave. Gaels mom was attracted by the noise so she came out to check on what was happening and she met Yvonne on her feet limping. "What's going on here?" she asked walking towards Yvonne but her eyes had given way for tears to come out and with a gentle voice, she muttered, "I think it will be best I get back to my house". "No way, with that heavy rain that is outside?" she questioned turning her gaze to her son and asking what he had done for her to be in that mood. Gael could not answer and just as she had anticipated he kept quiet. His mom holding Yvonne by the shoulder asked her not to bother and to follow her into the room where she was going to have some rest. She tried resisting but his mom shouted at her not to be stubborn. Lowering her gaze, she followed her calmly into the room limping as it gave her a lot of hurts. Her heartbeat was not happy and she could not bear to keep up with his attitude. Yvonne thought to herself that she had overstayed her welcome over there but could not continue. Teaching Gael's room, his mom put her on his bed and told her not to worry as everything was going to be alright. Her leg was must have reduced by the time she walked up in the morning. "You are such a good woman," she whispered with a faint smile, and Gael's mom smiled back at her. "Sleep now, and tomorrow will be another day," his mom muttered while laying her down on the bed. She could not explain why she was that attracted to Yvonne but she just knew that there was a connection between them. She left her for the living room where Gael had already closed the door and was laying down on the mat. She glimpsed at him and instead of feeling hate towards him, she burst out laughing. "Why do you torment every lady because of what Lisa did to you?" she asked going closer to him and her voice getting his attention, made him raise his head asking why she was not in her room yet and his mother responded with a smile saying, "Why do you answer my question with another?. Gael felt embarrassed and dumb, especially because, he could not explain why he was behaving like that. He was poking around not being able to look on one spot he got up and sat well on the mat. Telling his mom that there was something about her that he could not lay his hands on. "If you love someone you go for the person," his mother muttered. But Gael not understanding what his mom meant by that, let a frown but his mom waking up on her feet, wished him a good night, and led the way for her room. He was left alone on his mat looking at his mom disappearing into her room and behind her door as she closed it. Yvonne was not feeling comfortable looking at his things that were scattered all over his room and the bed was not comfortable at all, but what could she do, she had to manage it. Tu ring from side to side as she intended for a comfortable position to doze, her body had already come to be paining and she could not bear it any longer. "I don't think I can sleep here," she mumbled stepping out of the be and struggling out of Gael's room. The house was not big and there were little holes in it. The cold was hitting her hard, and she had no peace. "You should be sleeping you know," Gael spoke from the floor where he was sleeping with his back turned to the direction where she was and the lights off. "How did you know I was here?" she questioned and Gael telling her that a man did not have the right to sleep like a woman, turned in the dark to face her. "Come closer so that we can talk," Gael spoke out but Yvonne not catching sight of him in the dark, asked what he wanted to do to go. Telling her that he was not going to do anything with her if she did not feel as to, got Yvonne more suspicious of him as she was about to turn and leave the space, he called out to her to stop asking why she was going back. "You are just a pervert," she yelled out but Gael taking pleasure in teasing her, reminded her of the fact she his mom was in the other room sleeping so she had to keep her voice down. As soon as Yvonne listened to his words, she only got angry the more but had to respect his mom, Gael rose to his feet and walked closer to her while taking her hand and bringing her on the mat. Telling Yvonne that she did not have to always be so stubborn, his ears caressed her ears as it was too close.
