Katherine's p.o.v
The light streaming through the curtain woke me up. I felt s**t. My head hurts, my eyes are dry and I slept so uncomfortably on the couch. I decided to get up and take a shower. Once the hot water hit my shoulders, I instantly felt them relax. I just stood in the shower, letting the hot water flow down my body and then eventually decided to climb out while giving myself a once over in the mirror.Damn I look like s**t! The bags under eyes were puffy and my eyes were still red from crying.
I sighed while getting dressed and headed to the kitchen to find my mom making breakfast. "Hey sweetie, how'd you sleep" my mom asked while flipping pancakes. "Not great" I mumbled while grabbing a seat at the breakfast bar. "Why? What happened? Are you okay?" she asked all worried now. "I'm fine, just tired" I lied with a sheepish grin. She raised her eyebrow at me but decided to drop it after seeing how tired I looked
A knock on the front door interrupted what she was about to say. "I'll get it" I said while walking out the kitchen. I opened the front door to find Andy with a smile on his face that made his green eyes sparkle."Morning, Katherine, I figured you would need coffee this morning" he chuckled. This warmed my heart. He is seriously sweet! "Thank you and thank you for bringing me home last night. I don't know what came over me." I said in a low voice while looking at my feet to hide my embarrassment. "
"Who is it honey?" my mom shouted from the kitchen. "You wanna come meet my mom?" I asked Andy while opening the door further for him to come in. He gave me a peck on the cheek which made me blush as he brushed passed me.
"Oh hello, and who might you be?" my mom asked eyeing him from head to toe. "I'm Andy, Mrs...uh?" he said not sure how to carry on. "Call me Angela honey" she said in a soothing voice. "Angela, it's lovely to meet you. I met Katherine at the party last night and wanted to take her out for breakfast this morning if that's okay with you?" he said with a beautiful smile on his face. My mother shot me a questioning look and I just nodded to reassure her that it was okay. "Sure, but look after my girl hey!" my mom said in a stern tone. Andy chuckled and put his arm around my waist, "Always ma'am" he said before planting a kiss on my forehead making my cheeks turn blood red.
