Interview at last

Violet's POV

I couldn't believe i had drank wine, discussed my home troubles and beaten a pedophile up with THE Elijah Carter

this is definitely something to brag about, he had seemed so nice and non judgmental unlike most guys i know that always say I'm too aggressive for a girl

I definitely had fun that night with him and i knew he had fun too cause he didn't forget me at all, Heck he even felt offended that I forgot him

but me forgetting him wasn't my fault at all, when i came home that night, everything turned from an excellent night to a bad night

I could still feel the stings, the pain, i could still smell the blood and still hear the cries

the way everything was dark and...........

"Miss Violet Kai?" a tiny voice jerked me out of my thoughts, i looked up to see a young woman probably in her twenties, she had long blond hair and was dressed in a typical receptionist outfit, a pencil skirt with a fitted jacket

"yes that's me" I replied her

" well once you are ready to take your interview, your can go to room 12B by the left the directors are In there waiting for you, Good luck"

"thanks" i smiled at her and she smiled back going towards her cubicle

I stood up and arranged my papers walking towards the place she directed me, i stopped at a door and looked at it's number, 11A, i looked away and kept going till I reached 12B, and with confidence i walked in

in side the room, there were five people sat waiting, three women and two men, an incredibly slim woman whose height made up for her lack of weight sat at the middle, her name is Mrs Helen

she is one of the three owners of institute and very influential in the country, her presence alone could guarantee my acceptance into the institute, wow Elijah did pull some strong strings

"Good morning" i said in my most formal voice "

"Good morning, have a seat" a young looking man in Green suit smiled at me, he looked the most friendly out of all of them

a middle aged woman with lovely red hair cleared her throat "so tell us Miss Kai, a little bit about you"

I stood up straight and looked them in the eye as i was about to speak, i have been told that it shows confidence, and lots of interviewers love nothing more than a lot of confidence in their interviewees

"My name is Violet Kai, I am an eighteen year old girl, who just graduated from Brooks high school here In New York state, I'm an orphan raised by foster parents Amanda and Gary Kai who owns a publishing company downtown, i love Gems and creation of jewelry and I hope i could study here soon"

"lovely so tell us why you want to study Gems and Jewelry creation" the last woman with grey eyes asked me

I cleared my throat "in my opinion, Gems are precious stones, something prized for its beauty and shine, created by the Almighty,

it doesn't only have value, but also meaning" all of them except Mrs Helen nodded and it made me more confident "for example Gold signifies Hard work, pain and success, i will love to come up with a peculiar design that correlates with the meaning put together as an embodiment of beauty to adorn a particular person's body, that is just art in its simplest form"

I concluded feeling satisfied with my explanation, especially when their expression screamed impressed, except for Mrs Helen once again, she only had a stoic face the whole time, but apart from that the rest of them all looked really impressed, even the friendly man In the green suit whispered wow

for the next thirty minutes, they kept shooting questions and I fired back with amazing answers

"so the last question Violet" the red haired woman spoke "it said here that you want to study on scholarship, but you told us that your father and mother has a publishing company meaning, they are able to pay for the tuition, why do you still need a scholarship"

that was a tricky question but i obviously knew how to answer "my parents don't believe in girls furthering their education, they don't want me going to this institute because they believe I'm better of married, but my goal Is to prove them wrong and show them that i can also be successful on my own"

For the first time Mrs Helen looked impressed, she had a smile on her face and said "that is a smart thing to do Miss Kai, I'm rooting for you on that, your interview is over you can go" even the other directors looked surprised that she had spoken

with a beaming smile on my face "thank you" i said feeling on top of the world, i completed my dream interview and nailed it

I was about to leave when the second man who was dressed in a funny way stopped me

"wait, can i ask you an unrelated question"

other directors Including me looked at him questionly

"um sure sir?" i said with furrowed eyebrows

"what do you want to know from the girl, John" the Grey eyed woman asked

"nothing much" he replied the woman then looked at me "how were you able to get Elijah Carter to set you up with this interview"

"oh that? he just owed me a favor" i shrugged

"sure a favor you got from hooking up" he said and laughed

the friendly man gasped, the red haired woman snapped at him "John that was rude"

while all I saw was red

"you are such a disgrace to the twenty first century men, how can you open your fat mouth and say such nonsense to an unsuspecting young girl trying to study, not every girl you see gets things through hooking up, some actually work hard for it, and for your information, i helped Elijah by saving his kidn*pped grandmother and this was his way of repaying me, so don't go around making assumptions that you don't know of"

with that i walked out of there in anger, it was only after i had gotten outside that i realized how my words and choice of action may jeopardize my chance at the scholarship

I stood there seething with rage, yet filled with sadness, tears threatening to fall, I didn't know when a car packed by my side and a familiar young man came to hug me

"hey what happened, didn't the interview go well"

i looked into his deep blue eyes "please take me home"

immediately Violet left the interview room, A middle aged woman with silver hair received a phone call

"did she do well in the interview" she asked

"yes she nailed it, though she lashed out on Mr John when he slut shamed her as planned, I still heard them discussing how brilliant she is and how perfect she is for the institute, even Miss Helen commended her" a tiny voice replied

"Hmmmm, that is bad news for us, I need to contact them as soon as possible and begin the plan, don't forget to keep me posted and tell Mr John Well done"

"sure mam" the tiny voice replied and cut the call

hey y'all, the real drama is going to go down from this chapter and beyond

there Is nothing i hate more than people slut shaming other people for something they worked hard for

poor Violet, she deserves to be angry at that statement even though it was planned

so, who is that silvered hair woman and the tiny voice, any guesses?
