Anabella's POV
I heard him loud and clear and for weird reasons, I felt uncomfortable in my seat
''Who is she?'' I asked interested.
''Why are you certain that it's a she?'' He asked teasingly, while I just scoffed and looked away with embarrassment.
''Well, I don't want to talk about that.'' He said with a heavy sigh while resting his head on the head seat of the couch. I fixed my gaze on him and saw that his eyes were tightly shut like he was asleep, but I knew he wasn't asleep.
''So, will you call off the engagement?'' I asked after several minutes of silence.
''I don't know. Like I told you, my engagement with Casey is not just between us, but it's between two families. My engagement with her is a promise I made to her father when I was just a teen, and I can't go back from it.''
