I woke up to an empty bed. Hayden left a note saying he was going for a run. I lay in his bed for a bit, taking in the smell of his sheets. Casper started to give me a look like he knew what I was doing and thought I was ratchet. I got up and went to the kitchen, making a smoothie. I keep having such weird dreams since we moved here. I have a nagging feeling in the back of my mind.
I take my smoothie outside, sitting in one of the lawn chairs. I am sipping my drink when someone comes up to me, I immediately think it’s Hayden.
