Your Graveyard

The teenagers along with the guy leave the ranch still dark outside using a dusty SUV. The windows are heavily tinted so they are kinda comfortable and taking the opportunity to have some good rest. It was a peaceful ride for how long it was and they didn't bother to look where they were heading because they trusted the guy because he is Han's father. But their rest was interrupted when they hit the highway, there was a checkpoint ahead of them. Of course, there will be one. How could they ever forget about it? "Ah shit." Han's father hissed as he slowed down the SUV. Lexi felt the sudden slowing down and she woke up, sitting straight and saw the checkpoint. "Don't stop!" Lexi yelled which awakened everyone, she grabbed the guy's hand when he's about to pull over. "We can't just drive past them." "You are driving a bunch of enemies of the states, you think they will just let you slide?" Blake chuckled mockingly. The guy looked at them through the rearview mirror and then back to the checkpoint in front of them. "Fine." He withdrew and made a quick U turn. He knew that it would never be easy to just ignore the checkpoint since they were already seen, but he had no choice, or else they would all get executed. "They are following us!" Denver yelled in panic. "Of course, dumbass. What do you want them to do? Let us slide?" Iris scoffed. "Calm down kids, I know this road so much better than the calculus homework when I was in college." Han's father tried to joke but no one even laughed. "Who knows about calculus anyway?" Chantelle said while biting her nails, a proof that she's starting to feel scared even if she's trying to hide it. Her mannerism says it all. "I do." Jisu said as she stopped Chantelle from eating her nails. "Guys, they are close." Siena said, getting everyone's attention and they all looked behind. "Are you sure you can sway them?" Trevor asked worriedly. "Yes, relax. As soon as we leave the highway, they'll be asking for some rescue to locate them." Han's father said and again, no one laughed at his joke. "Why is it so hard to make you all laugh?" He whines. "Oh, you didn't know what we've been through, we forgot how to laugh already." Jazen said and everyone agreed with her. "Fine I'll stop but you guys should buckle up. This will be a bumpy ride." The guy sitting on the driver's seat said. He swerved the SUV into a dense forest and it is indeed a bumpy ride as they are hitting big limbs of trees. They are bouncing on their seats and some of them bumping their heads to the roof but they couldn't complain because they needed to escape from the cops. "Just where the hell are you going to bring us?!" Iris asked when she noticed that they were already in the middle of the dense forest. And she also noticed the moment they entered the forest, the cops stopped chasing them. Han's father didn't respond and he just continued driving. "Oh s**t!" Denver blurted out, his eyes wide open while looking ahead of them and there was the mansion. The same mansion where they were being trapped for almost a month and had to do their best to survive. "You—." Just before Denver could say anything, Blake moved so fast and he encircled his arm around the guy's neck from behind and pointed his dagger. "Turn the f*****g car around or I'll slit your throat!" The guy didn't respond again and just continued driving. "Please! Stop!" Siena yelled. Everyone started to feel scared, they didn't know that the guy would bring them back to the mansion after they went through a lot just to escape the place. Lexi, who's in the shotgun seat tried to stop the guy by pulling away his hands from the wheel, then Denver and Trevor helped as well and they forcibly removed the guy from his seat while Lexi took the steering wheel. "Turn around, Lex." Jazen said, her girlfriend quickly obliged when the boys successfully pulled the guy to the back and they restrained him so he couldn't move. "We thought you're going to help us?!" Iris yelled at the guy's face who didn't even show any fear and just smirked sinisterly. "Who would like to help bunch of stupid teenagers who wants to make my country fall?" "So you're lying all this time. I don't even know if you are really Han's father!" "He is." Lexi said and she handed the small photo behind. The guy was with a much younger Han and with a woman that they believe was Han's mother and the one working for the government. "How could you do this to your own son?" Jisu chuckled dryly, looking disgustingly at the guy. "We already warned him, but he didn't listen nor even wanted to be saved. All we want is for him to be safe. But he refused to listen because he's a stubborn kid just like all of you!" The guy said while he's struggling to escape but the boys used all their force to stop him. Chantelle looked at the back of the SUV, searching for something they could use to tie the guy and luckily, she found a rope. "Here, use this." She handed it to Iris and the latter quickly tied it around the guy and made sure it was tight enough so he couldn't move at all. "I can't believe that you weren't different from your wife." Jazen looked at the guy disgustingly. "Why don't you all just give up? All your parents already signed the waiver and they believed that all of you are already dead!" "But we're not." Trevor chuckled. "And you know who's going to die?" "I guess Han will see his father sooner than he expected." Blake said, playing with his dagger in front of the guy's face. "Even if you kill me, the fate of all of you will not change. you will die with the monsters that no one will know that they or all of you once lived in this world." "You're not really sure about that." Jisu said with a sinister smile on her lips while stroking Herlie's hair. "You're not going to get hungry tonight, Herlie." Han's father takes a deep breath as his lips tremble. He saw the kid as a monster and he knew that it was his end. "Tell me, why did you bring us back here?" Lexi asked while she's driving carefully. "Because this will be your graveyard." "Woo scary." Denver mocked and they all laughed. "b***h, you didn't know how many monsters we killed? Almost half of them, do you really think that this will be our graveyard?" "The government will never let you leave this forest. Before we left the ranch, I already called them and told them that I have all of you." "You could've killed us all while we're all sleeping in that small house, why didn't you? Are you scared?" Trevor asked. The guy didn't respond, he kept his mouth shut and just looked down to his lap. "I can't believe there are parents like you in this world." Blake said, chuckling in pain when he remembered how much Han kept talking about his parents while he's battling for his life. "Do you even know what Han told me while he's dying?" He waits for Han's father to raise his gaze and when he does, Blake glowers at him. "He said that he never wants to put his sister in danger that's why he lied to his parents that he's the one who accidentally encountered the monster." "W-what?" The guy's eyes slowly widened. "Han has a sister?" Denver asked. "He never mentioned it to us." "Because he's trying to protect her." Blake said. "Why did you stop?" Trevor asked when Lexi turned off the engine. "The forest was surrounded, there's no way we could escape." She replied, looking behind them. "Go north of the mansion, there was a cliff there—." "We are not going to kill ourselves—." "Don't worry, there's a secret way in there that you could use to go down the cliff." Han's father said to cut off Siena. The teenagers looked at each other before looking back to the guy. "It's not a trap, I built that in case Han could escape the mansion and I told him to use that." "Let's go." Lexi said and she turned on the engine. "If you're lying to us, I'm going to cut your throat." Blake said and he poked the tip of his dagger on the guy's neck as they drove to the cliff. ________
