Chapter 2 : Preying Eyes

It was exactly 8 in the evening when North received the partial payment from Mark. Her lips curved in a seductive smirk before entering the elevator. She push the ground floor button and gently massage her temple from the sudden ache

the entire time, North close her eyes and move her head in a slow circular motion relieving her sore neck from the muscle cramp she got from burying herself in her desk all day long . She really need to finish all of them on time since she ask for a two days leave. Even though she is the Ceo of her own company, North need to comply to the company rules and regulation

When the elevator open in a swift motion. She step outside and headed to the parking area

" Good Evening Ms. Ferrer " One of the security guard greeted her politely when he saw her walking at his direction

North nod and walk pass at him. When she got inside her car she maneuver the engine and drive along the main road of the centre of Milan.

The whole ride were short since there were no traffic along the way. She get out from her car and walk at the well known clothing brand here in Italy. When the staff saw her approaching their store. They called their manager, Annie

" Signorina Ferrer, è un piacere averla qui! " Miss Ferrer, It's a pleasure to have you here!

Annie sweet voice fell North Ear's. When she step inside

She faintly smile in return

" I am here to pick a dress for tonight party, could you recommend me a good one? " North ask casually

" Certo " Of course

Annie gesture here to the left swing where all the dress is located

North eyes casually glancing at those dress but none of it caught her attention

" Is there a new arrival beside these one? "

North gaze were bored as she retract her gaze to Annie

" Yes, We do... Actually, It just arrived this afternoon " Annie gesture someone in the staff "Claire, puoi portare qui il nuovo oggetto perché la signorina Ferrer lo guardi? " Claire can you bring the new item here for Miss. Ferrer to look at?

A white leather box appeared in North sight as one of the staff open it for her to see

The item is a green hug fitting dress with a slit on the torso. You can even tell that the material use is made off a rare quality silk from overseas. Making it eye catching and seductive

"Cosa ne pensate questi? "What do you think these one? Annie ask her

" hmm. the dress is a little showy but i like the quality " North touch the fabric and she was satisfied on the softness from the dress

" I'll wear it " she added

Annie guide her to the fitting room. North take off her business attire and gently put the dress.

She look at herself in the vanity mirror and saw a different person on it. Someone who is bold enough to show how domineering she is.

When everyone saw her walking out from the fitting room. A gasp could be heard

The woman is breathtakingly beautiful. It was as if the dress were made for her in the first place--Aside from the model who wear this intimidating dress on gala. None really make the dress more dangling than this woman infront of them

" The dress looks so good in you " Annie awed expression made North smile

" I'll take these " She rarely buy expensive dress for herself not unless she really need to and this one. North consider it as her bonus for making a deal

soon, she pay at the counter and headed outside

Everyone gaze held admiration from the moment she step outside. She already texted Mark to fetch here at the clothing shop. Mark who just got out from his car. curse momentarily.

"buongiorno, hai un bell'aspetto " goodamnit, You look fuckingly good

He utter in complete praises

North just rolled her eyes upon seeing Mark foolish reaction

" Well, I should atleast dress up for the deal, right? "

Her lips curved in a bitchy one. Mark face become sour the instant she said those. He really couldn't comprehend bow his cousin mind work.

Satisfied on irritating Mark. North tap his shoulder and walk directly towards the car.

" What are you waiting for? Let's go " she said in a lazy tone while opening the door

Mark wanted to grab the b***h hair but he reminded himself not to do it instead her curse her in his mind and soon the butler maneuver the car to the event

The ride were bumpy and quite as North close her eyes to take a nap and Mark who is serious in looking at the road ahead didn't bother her either.

" We have arrive, Señor " The butler announce waking up the sleeping North in her slumber

Mark nod and open the door for the two of them

North lift one of her brow when she notice the surrounding. She didn't expect this!

" Why are we here? " She ask. puzzled

Mark sigh. He didn't inform North that they would going to take a private jet to arrive at the place

" Were going to take the private jet to arrive at the ship"

North eyes widen. seriously?

" You didn't tell me that earlier! "

" I forgot it "

North combed her hair in frustration. She really never get anything from this cousinof her.

North glared at Mark and walk towards the waiting plane.

When they got baorded. The pilot announce their departure and a stewardess handed them a bottle of champagne which Mark gladly take from her and fill North glass

" I don't feel like drinking " She rejected him

Mark softly chuckle and understood her. North had this height sickness since young up until now

" suit yourself well "

Mark made a toss in the air and drink his fill

it took 20 minutes before North finally had a glimpse at the private yacht. The light coming from the different corner were enough to give her a panoramic view how magnificent the ship is.

" We have arrive " The pilot announce and the door had a gush sound when it's open. North and Mark were greeted by two other person, who just arrived like them

" Mr. Takushi "

one of them called Mark. He didn't expect to saw the man here

" Mr. Rivera, glad to see you here again "

Mark plastered a business like smile and offer a hand shake to the other which Mr. Rivera take

Soon Mr. Rivera gaze landed at the bored North Ferree

" Ms. Ferrer, It such an honor to meet you here " His voice held surprise upon seeing the successful CEO here. He was not inform of her arrival. He offer a hand shake but North politely reject it

" My pleasure Mr. Rivera " she said scarcely

North casually glance at the man standing beside Mr. Rivera. Who is silent the entire time

" Oh.. This is William Myer from Los Angeles " Mr. Rivera take turn to introduce the other man

" nice to meet you, Mr. Myer "

" As well as you. Mr. Takushi "

Soon, they both headed downstair.

North and Mark arrive at the deck. Their sudden appearance stop the movement of some people in the table. their eyes held surprise seeing the fine woman beside the well known designer and business owner Mark Takushi. Different gossip erupted the once boring room

North didn't move a bit from the sudden chattery of those women in the corner. Some of their words fall on North ear

" No matter why she's so successful. A woman who loves to collect expensibe men...Indeed. she deserve her title " One woman casually blurted out those lines and soon the two followed suit

" What could she do beside flirting and seducing? " She utter and giggle

" With thay body. No wonder, Many men want to invest in her company "

Mark flinch at the words and look at his cousin

" Would you like me to give them a piece of s**t? "

North shrugged " No need... they have no value to give them attention " Her indifferent words were enough to silence those three in the corner

" You're right " Mark laugh

Unknowingly, at the not so populated corner in the deck.

A man in his 20's were casually sipping his wine while watching the scene laid infront of him. His lips curved in a smirk

His gaze were deep and mysterious as it lingered at the place the woman in green stood up a while ago
