Chapter 12

“Sabrina I'm scared” Matt said in a whisper “ I know” Sabrina said looking up into his eyes “ But this way you will be one of the first in the room or out that front door and you are setting the pace there is no way you will be left behind” she said taking a moment to quickly look around before giving him a quick peck on the lips “ You will make it Matt, I believe in you!” she said trying to hype him up. She truly believed he would make it, he had to make it. She made a promise, and she never broke them. Sabrina looked at the others in the room all already ready to go two at the table at the door ready to be picked up, then a row of three chairs also ready to be picked up. The rest of the rag tag group ready to get going. “Alright let's do this” she said joining the three at the table. She waited till everyone else was in position before nodding to the boy at the door signaling him to open it. The moment the door from the teachers' lounge opened Sabrina and the other three holding the table walked out of the room sideways pushing the zombies that were in their direct vicinity to the side and then back. Away from the teachers' lounge door and the steps. Sabrina gave a little huff “These fuckers are a bit heavier than I expected” she mused before saying to those in the room still “Get moving! Once in the middle of the stairs yell back at us so we can join you” she said taking a moment to take in those who were zombies as the others got to the steps. Infront of the table was about five zombies of her teachers and peers. They looked rough in shape, covered in blood and bite marks but their skin looked like anyone else's. She was expecting them to look more dead? ‘Come on! “Came a call from the steps causing Sabrina to snap her head towards the steps that were stained in blood. “Alright on three we shove as hard as we can then book it! “Sabrina said before counting to three, on three the three of them charged forward shoving the table into the zombies and then dropping said table before taking off down the hall and down the steps being careful not to slip in the blood or trip over the random visceral that littered the ground. The three of them almost ran right into the backs of those in the middle “God damn it! Keep pushing we can rest once we get to a room shove them back!” she yelled, encouraging those in the front with the chairs to shove the zombies blocking the way back. “Go go go!” Sabrina ordered hearing the sounds of a commotion behind her that she could only assume was the zombies they shoved over getting up and pursuing them. Sabrina sighed in relief as those Infront of her started to move though it was a hard push to get them all off the stairs and into the first floor hallway “We just need a classroom or a room with a window.” She said taking a look at the c*****e around them it was a complete blood bath down here. Blood, limbs and other visceral material was everywhere to be seen and stepped in.
