Sabrina listened as the phone rung a few times before being picked up by first the Math classroom and then next the Library. There seemed to be a bit of a commotion on one of their ends. “ Yes?” It seemed like both rooms answered at the same time. Mr. Monty’s brows furrowed “ Some of the students think its best to separate those who are hurt from those who aren't” he said what is your opinions on that.
“We are a bit busy in here right now.” came a scared voice that sounded like it came from Ms. Holt “I would say move the injured into the library and keep those who aren't hurt in the teachers' lounge those who were hurt here are acting strange” she said before yelling on the line “Hold him back! Damn it we don’t need you joining in on the prank Brad” she chastised before hanging up.
Mr. Hoggan’s voice then came on the line, he was in the library “ I would have to agree those that are hurt need to come here and those of us who aren't will join you in the teachers' lounge “ He said “ It sounds like your students are right to want to separate from what we just heard from Ms. Holt” he said
murmurs of both agreement and disagreement filled the room as Mr. Holt turned around to face the twenty students staring at him. “Alright you heard the vote those that are bitten, scratched or hurt need to line up to go to the library I will be joining you.” he said offering a weak smile.
If Sabrina was being honest with herself, he didn’t look so good. No one looked good that got bit or scratched they all looked a bit sick, with wet sheens covering their skins as if they were sweating or fresh out of the shower. It took about two minutes for the rag tag group of ten to line up ready to make the trek across the hall to the library.
The switch was made flawlessly almost too flawlessly. The infected students, well hurt students and adults walked to the library and those from the library that were fine joined those in the teachers lounge. Sabrina took a moment to take in the new and old faces taking count of how many students and how many adults were in the room. Two teachers, Mr. and Mrs. Hoggens. A teachers aid Morgan. Then there was about twenty students some of which Sabrina couldn’t remember the names of they must have been from a year bellow her. She looked to her three friends, who had made it this far unscathed. “So, we are just going to wait here then?” she asked, taking a look at the clock, it was about four pm.
Morgan was the one who answered Sabrina “ Well for one most of us haven't ate lunch let alone dinner yet so we will probably do that and then start to make plans to hunker down for the night we don’t want to be caught outside besides I'm sure help is on the way we just need to chill for the time being. “She said as she locked the door and blocked it off.
Sabrina then asked a new question “What if we have to use the bathroom? The closest one is on the first floor” she said making a solid point.
