The faint smell of disinfectant in the hospital corridor made Elena even more nauseous. She sat on the cold bench, twisting the corner of her coat nervously, while Asher sat beside her, holding her cold hand tightly the whole time, his warm palm transferring heat to her little by little, calming her flustered mood a lot. Soon the nurse called her name. They walked into the consulting room together, and the doctor asked about her symptoms carefully: “When was your last period?
