Chapter 7 - Alexander

    Many winters before the discord of the power, Neveu Orion, the Lady of Light, also known as the oracle of the lords, predicted great evils that would arise over time, and therefore, the need for a warrior to make history happen, someone with the strength and judgment to guide the world on the right path, and thus Neveu created the power of the "Time Traveler". Such a person should know the complete distinction between right and wrong, as well as the courage to make what was needed into reality, thus making history happen. For a long time Neveu searched for the right person, but only about thirty winters before the great war did she choose the man for this duty, his name was Alexander Crescent, the blacksmith samurai, and this is his legend.

    Son of peasants from the Saitar continent, Alexander grew up humbly, but he had a defect, he had extreme difficulty in friendships, most likely due to his difficult genius, which made him very selective in this area since he was a child. But contrary to what many thought, he was an honest-hearted man, unable to serve evil, eager to be more than just a peasant, and one day, at the age of forty, his wish was granted. While working at his forge he was surprised by the most incredible light that anyone could see, the light of a lord, before him appeared a woman with white skin and long silver hair, beautiful and with gray eyes, wearing simple blue battle suits, with a chainmail underneath and long white cape, she was none other than Neveu, the lady of light:

- Hail, Alexander Crescent. – said the lady.

- You... are...

- My name is Neveu, the lady of light, and I come to bring you your deepest dreams.

- My... dreams?

- You are chosen by fate, the one who will bring history to its path.

- But why someone like me?

- I will show you directly what you need to know. – And the lady touched his chest briefly, where an intense glow seemed to have penetrated Alexander's body, leaving him apparently scared, as if he were watching time pass before his eyes. – From now on your duty will be fulfilled by your own judgment, for my wisdom will also belong to you.

- But what should I do?

- Do not ask, just feel, a man like you will always know.

- ...

- And do not worry about the time, it's what you will have the most from today...

    Alexander was the first time traveler, and even without understanding anything at first, which was natural, his heart quickly revealed his tasks, like an instinct... In a very short time he was already fully aware of his obligation, thus beginning his travels through history. Proclaiming himself as a samurai, a warrior who puts honor first, he probably saw terrible things in his travels in the future that led him precisely to the correct judgment and modification of time. Alexander had a decisive influence on several important points, and also received the magnificent “daughters of the lords”, Andriel and Andurel, the indestructible swords forged by Cloud, first Lord of Ice, but who had never before recognized a master, and were delivered to him by Huri MacGregor, the current lord of ice, with which he fought memorably in various battles. The influence of the traveler in the history was remarkable, among them one of the most fundamental occurred at the time when Zeijadel was preparing his army, he passed through the Kingdom of Scyra, where he met a sad child:

- Why are you sad, girl? – asked Alexander.

- Everyone says... that I am weird, that I am not a normal child... – She said.

- And why do they say that?

- Because I like to travel, to know places and adventures.

- Just for that?

- Do you also think I am eccentric?

- No, just different.

- How?

- You should not be afraid to be different, but to be equal and discover that everyone is wrong. – And the girl smiled. – What is your name?

- My name is Amy.

- I am Alexander, the traveler. Amy, do what your heart desires, because everything in life has a purpose...

    And it was thanks to Amy that Zeijadel's army was discovered. The time traveler also acted during the war, influencing battle strategies on all continents, directly to kings as a wise adviser, but never revealing who he really was, he was the one who suggested to Revan Malak, great king of Saitar, to prepare and withstand the harsh winter without leaving the kingdom, which led enemies to try to destroy the wolves in search for supplies, and so they were slaughtered. He also convinced the mers of the Tantus River to fight and expel the goblins from the maritime routes, leading the continent to victory, all that the time traveler needed to fulfill his obligations was to listen to him.

    Undoubtedly the most important fact in which Alexander was involved, was the direct confrontation with the great enemy, Zeijadel, this event is unknown to almost everyone, only one person has it in his memories: Zeon Harkonen. In the final stretch of the war, when the kingdoms inflicted very heavy defeats on the armies of lord of darkness, Zeijadel was still hidden, he avoided confrontation with any of the lords except Galadril, the lord of life, who was his target, but Alexander managed, after tireless searches and with a drop of luck, to intercept the great enemy, and the legendary confrontation began. In possession of the daughters of the lords, weapons that Zeijadel feared, as well as Maxlyeben, and with the immense power that the time traveler possesses, he faced Zeijadel in spectacular combat near the Triplet Mountains, but the traveler could be no match for the divine power of the lord, he was an exceptional warrior and fought with mastery, but did not possess the great power of the seal of the swords, something achieved only by the second master of the swords... But the magnificent combat lasted long enough for Harkonen (the first of the lords to discover about the darkness, thanks to the girl Amy) located them, and now, face to face with Zeijadel, they faced each other:

- This fight is now mine. Thank you traveler. – said Harkonen.

- I expected to start with Galadril, but now you will take his place, holy. – said Zeijadel.

- That we will see, darkness.

    Harkonen's legendary combat against Zeijadel ended over the Empty Mountains in the Dead Land, and ended the war. It is known that the traveler also fulfilled several tasks in the distant future, where his instincts took him, and these would only be revealed over time.

    His arduous tasks over, the traveler surrendered his power and responsibilities to the one person who could effectively replace him, Sumith Maxlyeben, traveling for several winters later, and he also abdicated Andriel and Andurel when he returned to his time, so that they could find a new master. Alexander returned to his normal life, before the discord of the power, but one thing that no one knew was the remorse he carried over Amy's death, it was too cruel to imagine sending an innocent child to perdition, he suffered from nightmares and the weight of guilt, even during all his tasks, but never showing it, he even cursed that power by calling himself a murderer. But when his heart seemed no longer capable of resisting, he fell in love with Mai Renard, a simple peasant woman, the only person in the world who calmed his heart, convincing him that Neveu made the right choice, just like him, because the traveller's duty was indeed to influence history, but not to alter an absolutely necessary destiny like that of the child, and from then on he should honor that precious sacrifice. Finally in peace, Alexander married, but his other misfortune was about to happen, he fell into misery, and for a long time starved even though he was very talented in the art of forging, until the day he met a man who introduced himself to him as a friend, and it was in fact, his name was Laguna Leon. Alexander knew he carried the same power he once had, and he knew he was there to change his story. Thanks to Laguna he met the great Tantaluz Primadril, who was looking for a skilled blacksmith to work on his magnificent crystals of Isil, he proved to be the only one capable of doing so, and with the friendship of Tantaluz and Laguna, his only two friends in fact in life, to whom he presented Isil's pendants, he made a lot of money by setting the crystals in weapons that would fight in the war, providing more strength to the warriors and accumulating a fortune that allowed him to live without having to work anymore. But after the battles the weapons were no longer useful, being used now in absurd tournaments and unnecessary bloodshed, he felt guilty again, spending the rest of his days dedicated to recovering all the weapons strengthened with Isil, to save lives, for Amy, and guarding them in his barn protected by the “Millenarian Shield”, the legendary protection magic, but he failed to recover many and left for his children, Ehren, Serge and Gilliat, three orphaned boys who were adopted by him and Mai, since his wife could not get pregnant, that they fulfilled their will by recovering all but two, the Morgil staff of Tantaluz, and the staff of Cindy Sea, later inherited by her daughter, who were the only ones allowed to stay out of the barn. Only his family, Tantaluz and Arkan (Through the mental link), knew his true trajectory, as well as the importance of his duties, and his three boys were always unhappy with the anonymity of his value, the suffering he went through, the misery in which he dived, only being rewarded by Laguna's intervention, bringing some relief to his life. Alexander passed away at the age of eighty-three winters and beside his wife, leaving behind the great legacy of the time traveler.
