Chapter 18

Zoe's POV

Today my mom helped me get ready for my date. I was nervous as s**t. I couldn't really calm down. I know I wanted this from the moment I saw Nathan I knew I wanted him and today I get a chance to live this dream of mine. Kate and I we have planned everything yesterday. she told me last night that she things he is taking me to see a movie hence she decided on my outfit. I really don't know i get the feeling she knows more but I'm still not pushing. My mom thought maybe I should have something to eat if we are only going to the movies but I'm a ball of nerves and don't think i can stomach anything right now, besides I way not really know Nathan but I doubt he will starve me maybe we will get something while watching the movie. Nathan said he will pick me me up at around 5:30 and he will tell me when he leaves his home. According to Kate his house is roughly 15 minutes away from mine making it easy for me to estimate when to get outside and wait on the driveway after he sent me the text. I really wish I was a drinker, I would have taken a drink to numb my nerves but no I choose to not drink alcohol like my peers. I'm seated by the kitchen table when I get a message on my phone from Nathan saying he is leaving home coming to pick me up. I wait a little bit before saying goodbye to ma and head out to wait.

While waiting for him many thoughts run through my mind I wonder where we're going and what exactly does he have planned out for us. I'm a mix of excited and anxious. I decide to text Kate to ease off my mind a little bit and its helping. it's not long until I feel a car pull to a stop near me. coming out of it I see a well dressed, bright smiling and carefree Nathan and I can't help but smile too. He pulls me in for a hug holding me tight and the next thing I know he places a quick and soft kiss just before leading me to the car. along the way I keep trying to get him to tell me where we're going but I'm unsuccessful. I know everybody loves surprises but I'm not everybody. We pull into an underground parking lot Nathan gets out opening my door taking my hand and leading me to the elevator which goes up and stop before we get out into an elegant looking space that looks like a restaurant. the guy that greeted us at the door leads us to what looks like the outside. Turning around the air inside my lungs literally gets knocked out of me. This place is awesome we are essentially at the beach while we not. I can smell the fresh breeze of the ocean as it brushes against my nose. I've never been in a date before so this experience for me is just out of this world and I'm still recovering from that kiss from earlier on. I honestly didn't know what Nathan was planning but this wasn't anywhere near my thoughts. I thought maybe we will go to the movies since Kate told me last night that he previously asked her for ideas and she Ted him my favorite movie. Kate is gonna die when I tell her where we went. I found it strange earlier that the restaurant was empty I mean who wouldn't wanna be here. Nathan told me it had been booked out for our date and I was in awe. I felt very important he booked the whole restaurant for me I'm so shell shocked. Everything was planned to a T. From the placing of the table, the food served and drinks on offer. Everything aligned. The place is elegant its big money type of elegance and I like.

The conversation during dinner was light and comfortable. We talked about school, I learned more about his friends and he mine although he already new them. He told me more about his hobbies how he likes to play the piano. His favourite band the X-Ambassadors, which I also love. How he likes to play basketball ball from time to time. Which isn't a shock really his height is appropriate. He went on to tell me about his dad and how this is his place and how he had to beg to get him to agree to close it for the night. This peaked my interest so I wanted to know more about how he planned our date. He apparently had help from his mom who helped with the menu. He also told me about how nervousness he was up until picking me up. He didn't want to mess it up. We spent almost two hours chatting but the time didn't even seem real. Everything was perfect to me. After the food and everything else he offered to go on a walk by the beach which I noticed was empty all through our date. I eagerly agreed after all nature is my thing and I'm dressed comfortable enough. I think he had planned this too. I mean how else did Kate guess to have me wear sneakers instead of any other shoe. I think him and her talked about this, I just have to corner Kate to tell me the truth. Heading out for our walk we said our thank you to the server and simply walked onto the beach. Again our walk was filled with chatter and laughter as we enjoyed each others company. I was not cold since the dress was also long sleeved however Nathan had his arms around me as we walked and I enjoyed it.

"Zoe I have something to ask you" Nathan says as we were now seated down gazing at the sky above. I turn my head to look at him. I found him staring at me with the most honest, sincere and loving look I've ever seen on him so far. "Mmhm" I answer unable to form any words. "Would you be my girlfriend" He asked looking straight into my eyes with no fear but plain trust and devotion and that did for me. I found my mouth on his as my hands work themselves in his hair. I dont know what took over me and how I got to this position I don't really care either. My tongue is deep in his mouth fighting his for dominations. I feel him. Man he tastes sweet. His lips are soft and this kiss is hungry and aggressive not like the other two I really do not care. I feel peck my swollen lips before pulling away. "I take that as a yes then" he chuckles out making me red on the face. Nathan reaches on his pocket pulling out a slender box in it lays a beautiful neckline with a stone that is the same shade as my eyes. Owww that's gorgeous I think to myself. "May i put this on you" he asks like a gentleman he is and i just nod turning my back to him so he can tie the necklace. "Its gorgeous Nathan thank you" I say engulfing him in a hug before giving a slow long kiss.
