Three days passed, before I was able to combat the fever and the loss of my powers, and get back to Elk Grove High. During these three days, Wendy spent almost all of her after school hours visiting me and keeping me company, and whenever she had to go home, Frankie or Henri took over the job of making sure I took medications and ate enough. It was a new low for me; taking human medications so I could heal. Wendy tapped me on the shoulder, bringing me out of my train of thoughts. “Are you okay?” She asked with a smile.
