On my way to the cafeteria, something quite interesting happened. AP English had been concluded with enough homework to last a lifetime –according to the students who complained. To me, it was barely an hour’s worth of work, at most. Immersed in the thought of how peculiar the teacher was, I sauntered through the crowded hallway, adjusting the straps of my backpack and skimming through the students’ faces. None of them were interesting enough for me to consider seriously. My locker was at the extreme end of the hall. Coincidentally, I was given number 666.
