“What do you want to eat, Tathi” Paul ask me as we sat down in the restaurant.
“Anything. You can pick anything. You know everything I love when it comes to food”
I saw him nod and call the waiter. I watch him as he pick our order and speak,
“By the way, how’s your business trip in Davao? How’s the deal?” I ask him about his business trip because his been in Davao for one week and I forgot to ask him yesterday what happened.
“It’s good. I convinced the owner to sell the lot”
“That’s good but I thought he won’t change his mind about not selling the lot?”
He’s been focusing to buy that lot because he can make a small business and that lot is in the crowded place.
“Oh yeah! Thanks to Emily she talk to the owner and made an agreement on what will happened to the lot”
Hmm? Emily? Emily’s in Davao? But I thought she’s in Cebu to visit some of her colleagues.
“Yeah? You should follow the agreement” didn’t think much about Emily in the Davao and it slip in my mind.
“Well, it’s not that I won’t follow the agreement but I own that lot now so I can do whatever I want”
I shook my head as I look at him and said,” You have an agreement, you need to follow that. He can sue you if you won’t follow it”
“Let’s see if he can still sue me”
I really can’t understand him when it comes to money or about his business.
“Paul! Tathi!”
I looked back to someone who called us and it turns out it’s Emily.
“Emily! Good to see you here. I miss you so much”
I stood up and kiss her in the cheeks and to my shock he also kissed Paul in the cheeks. I smiled at her awkwardly this time.
“I will meet one of my friends here and didn’t know that you two are here too” She chuckled and look at Paul.
“This is just impromptu dinner. I just take her out because it’s been many days when we go out together”
After we talk a bit, Emily excuses herself and go to meet some of her friends. Even Emily is my bestfriend we still have different circle of friend so I understand that.
When we finish eating, Paul excuses himself to go to restroom. I waited there for a minutes and I saw some men in black entering the restaurant. I didn’t clearly saw what’s happening when Paul arrive and said he’ll take me home.
“Thanks for today”
Paul hugged me from the back and kiss my forehead,” It’s nothing. I hope you enjoyed our date today”
I break the hug and face him, Paul has a brown eyes, long nose and not so thick eyebrows with brown hair. It perfectly suits him but I smell something to him, it’s like his perfume is blended with someone else’s perfume and I’m sure it’s not mine.
“I always enjoyed our day”
When Paul was about to kiss me, a car horned us and rush to left.
“That bastard! Who do you think is he?”
I held Paul’s hand and laugh at him.
“Don’t get angry. Go now it’s getting late. I know you’re tired”
I kissed him in the cheeks and push him because he’s not moving at all.
“HA HA HA HA Okay, Okay. I’ll go now”
“Bye! Take care!” I waved at him and go inside my house.
I just relax a bit and take a shower, put some night cream in my face and lotion in my body.
I make some milk, even if I’m full or what, I always drink milk before I sleep. So that I can sleep peacefully. When I finish drinking the milk I go to the bed and get a book.
I also read a book so that my mind will be refreshed and the book that I’m reading now is Greatest Adventure and the author is Shaniez. It’s one of my favorite books.
“I really love this book gosh. I wish I also have that power”
IT’S 6 AM and I’m doing Yoga. I woke up 5:30 and drink milk again.
After yoga and rest some minutes I eat my breakfast which is bacon, egg, and fried rice. This usually my morning routine but my breakfast sometimes is cereals. I just maintain my diet meal.
I arrive in the company at exactly 8:00AM. I entered at the meeting room and I saw all the board directors are there and the one who’s going to give us the report about the company status is arranging her laptop and distributing the papers.
“Good morning, ma’am”
Luckily, they’re not bored (but they’re BOARD) when I arrived. Well, yeah I’m sorry I arrived late.
I great all the board director and sit down in the center, where my chair is.
“Let’s start the meeting”
The girl immediately nod and start her reports.
WE’RE now eating inside the mall I’m with Emily and she’s currently talking with her sister in the phone.
This past few days I’m always at the company and doing some paper works, I miss clubbing. It’s been a week when the last time I go to the bar.
“Tathi, I’m sorry if it takes so long. My sister is so annoying! Psh!” I looked at her and nodded.
“It’s okay. I understand! It’s your sister”
“All she said is, ‘Can I buy more make up?’ ‘Can I have more money?’ She keeps saying more more more more”
I wish I have sister like her so that we can bond.
After we eat. It’s shopping time!!
“Emily, what color suits me well?”
I show her the color beige and red.
“It depends on where you’ll wear it”
“ I’ll wear it in our date with Paul”
She stops looking a dress and look at me instead.
“Really? You just dated yesterday, right?”
“Huh? Yes but he said, he’ll take me on a date next time. I mean, there’s no wrong. We’re couple”
I look at her weirdly.
“Uhm yes. I was just asking. He he he you know, I don’t have boyfriend. Red suits you well”
I was about to thank her when she turn her back at me.
“Thanks?”
I’m at the counter now and paying the clothes I bought. While Emily’s in the next shop because she wants to buy something.
“You’ll buy a male watch? For whom?”
I ask her as soon as I saw her. She looks startled when she saw me walking into her.
“Yes. I’ll give it to a close friend”
“Really? Close friend? It’s so expensive and just friend”
“He’s an important friend”
After that we visit a boutique after boutique and bought as many as we want.
“Bye, Thati. See you”
“Bye, Emily. Take care”
I wave at her and when I didn’t saw her I headed to my car to drive home.
As soon as I reach my car, I called Paul, It’s just keep on ringing and when I called him the second time he pick it up.
“Hey, Paul. You okay? I thought you’re busy”
[Ah yeah. I’m kinda busy right know]
“Ohh so you’re not free tomorrow?”
[Sorry I can’t. Next time, babe, I promise]
“It’s okay. Take care there”
[Yeah, sorry. Take care. I love you]
“I love you too”
Well, I understand because when we’re still new together he’s kinda busy that time but he still makes time to me but, this past few days, Paul’s been cold to me or that’s just my imagination. I don’t really usually overthink but If I do, it’s either true or not. I hope it’s not because Paul is not that kind of man.
“What am I thinking? Maybe I’m hungry again? but I just finished eating”
I just went home and read my favorite book, Greatest Adventure.
THE alarm woke me up from the deep slumber….. that’s what I thought but it’s a phone call from one of the board director saying that I have an impromptu meeting at Greece.
What the?! Greece? What do they think of me superwoman?! But because I have to do my job properly even if I’m the owner.
“Okay. What time is the flight?” I ask him as I roll in my bed.
“It’s 3 PM, madam”
I look at the clock and It’s still 6:23 AM.
“Okay. Bye”
As soon as I drop the phone. I close my eyes and sleep.
WHEN I look at the clock, it says 9:00 AM. I immediately do my morning routine.
I pack some of my clothes because there’s no time to pack more, and I was planning to buy more clothes in Greece and take a 1 day vacation. Just 1 day because if it’s 1 week then I will not be able to go back at the Philippines and just live at Greece.
“Why I’m always late this past few days?!”
I just grab a bread and a yogurt. I already book a taxi and it’s already waiting outside my house. Ahe!
“To the Airport, please”
I was busy looking outside the window when I saw a familiar man in one of the restaurant. Paul? But I thought he’s busy. The restaurant doesn’t look a meeting place but it’s a couple’s place.
I was busy thinking about Paul when the car stop and the driver told me where here at the airport.
“Thank you”
I get my luggage; I got one case and a small bag where it’s my important thing inside….. but I’m still lucky I arrive on time.
