Trent is unconscious. He's restless. He's breathing hard. I don't know why the doctor said he's okay but he's not okay. And he's calling my name. That melts my heart. He's calling me. I'm the one he always calls in time of need. I grip his arm tight and I don't care if his cousin and his dad are standing beside me, staring at me. Trent suddenly opens his eyes and relief washes over me. Believe me, I've never been so relieved to see someone open their eyes. And that feeling scares the s**t out of me.
