Adaline It's sunset. The orange glow of the sun shimmers on the surface of the ocean. Gisele's hand is on my waist. My hands are snaked around her shoulder. We're looking into each other's eyes. Dancing. Everyone is dancing slowly with their roommate, the soft music playing in the background. Nancy with Natalia. George with Dave. Atticus with Ace. We all look like a bunch of gay lovers. I didn't show up last night. It was the most taunting temptation I've ever had to kill. I kept tossing and turning in bed. Staring at the ceiling. Grabbing the pillow tight and crossing my legs, stopping myself from stepping out of the bed. Turning down Atticus, when all I wanted to do was jump out of the bed and throw myself at him, was pure torture. I did that for Gisele and Ace. But mostly for Ace.
