Adaline Funerals. I've never been to a funeral. This is my first funeral. My mother's funeral. I thought they were supposed to be depressing. I thought they were supposed to be sad. I thought they were supposed to be sorrowful. But this one is nothing like that. It's actually blissful. Joy is bursting in the air. People are toasting and drinking and dancing. Apparently, my mother said if she ever died, she wanted people to dance at her funeral. I don't remember her saying that. But then again, I don't remember much about what she said. I just remember her being an awful mother. She didn't want her funeral to be as depressing as her daughter's funeral. She wanted it to be the complete opposite.
