Chapter Two

I woke up from the weirdest dream I have ever had. My dad met me at school on my birthday and saw that I was talking to a couple of strangers and he got pissed. Then he ran up on them and started swinging on the boy. The girl tried to pull my dad off him but he got her by the hair and threw her against the building stopping long enough to pull out a knife he looked crazy. I finally woke up when he said that I'm his and they better stay away or else he would kill me and keep the corpse for himself. I felt sick to my stomach and ran to the bathroom. My throat burned from the stomach acid. My dad heard me run to the bathroom and he has to bang on the door and yell at me for running in the house. I showered quickly to get the sweat off then I got dressed for school. My birthday is tomorrow and I need to finish out the week so I can graduate early and get the hell outta dodge.

As I'm getting my jacket and backpack on for school my dad asks, "You want your birthday present early, sweetheart?" I hate it when he uses pet names on me they sound so dirty coming from him.

"No thanks Dad it's not my birthday until tomorrow. There is lunch in the fridge for you to take to work and I'll be home to make supper around four, so it should be done around five. Do you think you will be home by then or should I wait to cook?" I don't like cooking late just because he was at the bar all night with his buddies.

"Don't cook tonight I won't be home to eat until morning." That was the last thing he said to me that day.

At school I looked at the new boy several times during class. I hope nobody notices that I'm not paying any attention to the lesson. I don't really need to because I finished this chapter last week and everything is ready to be handed in. The biggest ape in the class started whispering to his buddy about picking a fight with the new kid and "getting busy" with his sister while making him watch. These boys are so gross and horrible I don't know if I can last the week.

Second period he was sat next to me and I couldn't focus on anything except his scent. He was so close it drove me mad with wanting to just feel his body against mine. He was a perfect gentleman though and never touched me. I just want to make it through this week before I get attached to anyone. I'll be a legal adult tomorrow and I will be able to leave as soon as the principal signs my diploma. No I can't fall for Mr. Handsome here. What is wrong with me.

The bell rang for the end of second period and I don't even know if he had kept up with the instructor. Ugh why can't I focus? That's when I realized that everyone else was gone and It was just the two of us left in the room. "You don't have to wait for me you know. I mean it's nice that you did but you didn't have to." OH god why did I assume he waited for me? That was so stupid of me.

"I don't mind waiting. In fact I appreciate all your help and I felt like helping you to our next class. If that's okay with you that is." He said very politely.

"That's okay with me it's just not normal around here to be kind is all. I didn't mean to sound rude." I am totally blushing. I know I am.

"I would never take anything you say as rude. Besides if everyone is rude here you must be the black sheep." He said with a silly grin.

We walked to third period only to be told there was an emergency meeting the rest of the day was free period. I decided that we would get him caught up on History and Science before the lunch bell rang. He wasn't really all that behind the class, maybe just one chapter in both subjects so I helped him get ahead so he can do as he planned and graduate early too. After we finished five chapters ahead in both subjects we sat and played 20 questions. His favorite color is black, he has two cats and a big dog, he has three older siblings and two younger, his favorite food is authentic ramen, he loves anime and manga, he loves his sister but can't stand her, and he has never had a girlfriend. We got a lot further than that but I was focused on how cute he was when he was answering my questions than I was his answers.

"So are you ready for lunch?" I asked as my final question.

"Not really because then my sister will be joining us and I kinda like it just being the two of us." he said blushing.

I smiled and the lunch bell rang. As we made it to the cafeteria the fire alarm went off and we all had to evacuate the building. I looked for Angelica but she was no where to be found. I told Lucious and he called her cell only to find out that she went home after her only class. The fire department arrived and there actually was a fire and school was cancelled for the rest of the week.

I wasn't going to tell my dad so I didn't have to stay home for my birthday. As I am trying to figure out what to do for the rest of the day I noticed my dad's truck parked just a block away from the school. I quickly ducked behind a few bushes praying that he wasn't in his truck watching the school like some kind of pervy stalker. I completely forgot about the fact that there was a boy following me today. I had to yank Lucious down behind the bushes with me. He landed on top of me by accident and we both apologized and blushed at the same time. When I peaked through the bottom of the bushes I couldn't see my dad's truck anymore.

"I didn't mean to startle you I'm sorry but my dad for some reason was parked just down the way and he doesn't like me talking to boys. But tomorrow he won't be able to keep me from talking to anyone. I will be allowed to do as I please in the eyes of the law and first chance I get I am outta this hellhole." I said in a whisper.

"Happy early birthday and I guess I'm being a bit rash here but would you mind spending it with me?" He asked almost nervously.

"I would love to but I don't know where we would go or even meet up." I replied shyly.

"We could meet here or at my house it's not far from here." He sounded eager this time.

After I was sure my dad was gone I got up and started to look for the principal. I have to get everything done on Friday. We had the plan set up ages ago and he can't make me wait until after the school reopens. He just can't. I finally found him sitting on a bench looking very lost. "Mr. Jameson, may we talk for a few please?" I asked getting his attention.

"Of course, I always have time for my best and brightest student." He said with some enthusiasm. "What can I do for you?"

"Am I going to have to wait to graduate now? You know that I can't stay much longer and I know that I have earned my diploma. We were just waiting for me to turn 18 to get it remember?" I was almost in tears I was so afraid that it wasn't going to happen now that yet another thing has gone wrong for me. " I mean my birthday is tomorrow and of school is cancelled the rest of the week how can I graduate by Friday?"

"Your diploma is at my house all I have to do is sign and date it but you will get it tomorrow if you really want to be done by the end of the week. I wish that you would stay but I understand you have much bigger dreams to follow. The only problem I see is getting it to you since there is no school for now." He said with his head hung.

"You can always bring it to my house tomorrow since I talked her into spending the day with me." Lucious said with the biggest grin I have ever seen.

Mr. Jameson looked very scared of the idea. "You can't! If HE finds out then the entire school might go up in flames next time or worse he might try to kill you.''

"Who?" We asked in unison.

"Never mind just don't go through with your plan please. It would kill me if anything happened to either of you." He said as he got up and walked away.

The walk to my house was very quiet and spooky. When I got home I almost expected my dad to be home but he wasn't. The house was empty and quiet. I decided to read and take a shower before bed. My dad wasn't home before I fell asleep. I was having a very strange dream when I felt something heavy on top of me. Then came the smell of alcohol heavy breath. When I tried to move my arms were pinned down above my head and then there was a rag in my mouth. I tried to scream as my shirt was lifted over my face and my blanket was ripped off of me. There was a mouth on my breast and a hand between my legs. When I started kicking and thrashing around I was punched in the ribs. I was allowed to curl up in the fetal position but that only gave them better access. I felt the hand again and fingers invade my body. whoever it was started moaning and all I could do was struggle against his grip on my wrists.

When I started to cry he ripped my panties off and I felt his face down there and I tried to scream but all it did was make him laugh and shove more fingers in me and then he said. "Happy birthday Sweetheart. Are you ready for your birthday present now?"

I shook my head no as I felt him tie my hands with what felt like a tie to my headboard. Then he flipped me on my back and took the rag out of my mouth only long enough for me to say "Please dad no I don't want this. NO, NO, NO." Then he put the rag back in my mouth and laughed at my tears.

"I ain't your dad and this is the day I've been waiting for you little b***h. I'm gonna make you mine like I had planned to do from the start. And if you fight me I will make them all watch as I f**k you over and over again until you die or until you get too lose to please me anymore." He was just as dirty as I knew he would be and he was enjoying my pain.

As I felt him enter me I screamed louder than I thought possible. I fought and I screamed and he took pleasure in it all until I got my leg up enough to kick him off of me. When he recovered I got hit all over my lower half and he decided that he was going to bed since I made him lose interest for the night. I spit the rag out and untied my wrists with my teeth. when I was finally free I got dressed and ran. I had no idea where I would go but I ran away from that monster.

The first person I saw was a woman with a fancy dog. When I went to ask her for help she was offended that I even tried talking to her. I felt dirty and scared and I was afraid to even try finding Lucious and Angelca's house. It was the middle of the night and what would I say? 'Oh sorry to wake you but my dad just tried to rape me and I ran away please let me stay here with you'. Yeah they would totally go for that. I'm more afraid now than I have ever been before. Every engine I hear I think it's him coming to get me.

"What are you doing out in the woods at this time of night?" said a voice from the dark.

"What? Who's there? Come out where I can see you." I half yelled, half cried.

She stepped out into the moonlight and I about collapsed in tears and shaking. "Angelica you scared me. Why are you out here at this time of night? I mean I wasn't expecting to see anyone out here right now." I said rushed and kind of out of breath.

"I saw someone strange out my window so I decided to investigate. So whats going on?" She asked.

"I just ran away from my dad and I didn't know where to go. So I just ran in this direction and the only other person I saw ran away from me like I was a monster. I didn't mean to trespass I'm sorry and I will leave maybe I can hide at the school." I said but immediately regretted.

When I started to walk towards her, but she stopped me and asked me what happened to make my pants all bloody and why was I holding my ribs. I told her everything and she dragged me back to her house making a hell of a noise to wake her father up. He and Lucious scared me more than Angelica and her mother did. I was developing this fear of men and I didn't like it one bit. Her mother was a dr and her father was the new chief of police. Her mother checked me out in a different room and her father listened to her tell what I had told her. Lucious tried to talk to me but I retreated from him. His mother told him to calm down and it wasn't my fault, that that monster made this happen.

"I'm sorry, I can't help but flinch away. Don't hate me please. You were my first friend, I'm so sorry." I kept crying and whispering the same thing over and over again. I felt like I was being a burden on them all. Finally I fell asleep in Angelica's room with the door and window securely locked.
