We made a quick stop at one of my favorite face food outlets, “Bennie-burger,” grabbed a couple burgers and headed to her apartment.
I noticed Talon eyes were constantly fixed on the rear view mirror.
I took a look black, and saw two black jeeps trying their best to catch up to us.
I looked over to Vivienne whose eyes are glued to the outside world.
Just then a bullet pierced the right wing mirror.
“Get down.” I said to Vivienne as I pulled my gun from my waist.
“Are you ok sir?” talon asked.keeping his eyes glued to the road and the rear view mirror.
“Yea I’m fine.”
“Vivienne, is she good?”
“She’s fine.”
“Bang, bang” bullets hit the right door of the car.
“Talon!” I signaled.
“On it.”
He drove in and out of lanes until we reached our safe houses in the area. I took Vivienne out of the car and carried her into the safe house.
I placed her on the couch in the living room. “Stay here.” I said. I made my way to one of the windows to see what we're up against.
I hear tires screeching as two cars come to a halt. Three men each exiting the cars, with guns in their hands.
Talon and my stood next to me awaiting orders.
“what now sir?” He asks.
“We let them come to us and call for backup.” I said.
I made my way back to Vivienne who was still seated where I left her.
“I’m truly sorry, I didn’t know this would have happened, I let my guard down,”
“it’s ok, it’s ok just get us out of this.” She said,
Just then I heard gunshots coming from the outside, “get down.” Talon yelled my way.
“They're trying to break the windows.” I said to him.
I looked over at vivienne laying face down on the ground, with her hands covering her head.
And it looked all so real to me, I was seeing my mother and my sister again, laying flat on the floor as the delvinos shot at the house.
Before coming in and killing them all.
I don’t want to see her like this, not now, not ever.
I got to my feet and walked over to the window. They were already circling the house.
I opened fire at the front door and then made my way to the back and talon to the kitchen.
I heard at least four gunshots coming from the kitchen.
“It’s all clear sir, grab Vivienne and let’s go,'' Talon said, holding onto his left arm.
I walked over to the room she been seated in and I handed a gun to her. “Take this.” I said.
“You pull it back like this and squeeze the trigger at the target ok. Ok let’s go.” And I grabbed her hand in mine.
We cautiously exit through the front door, Talon in front, vivienne in the middle and me behind.
I heard loud screeching as tires came to a haunt.
“You ok sir?” Maximum. My head of security asked as he made his way out of the car.
“I’m fine, what took you so long?” I asked.
“ I had to take Mrs. Blanche home tonight from her weekly gathering.” He said. Looking at Vivienne who is stuck to my back.
I turned my attention to vivienne.“Your going to my place tonight ok,go with max he’ll take you there.” I said.
”your not coming?” She asked.
“I’m coming home in a little bit, you think you can wait for me.” I asked playfully, trying to lighten the mood.
“Yea.. yeah.” She said,
I placed a kiss on her forehead, buckled her in and watched as they drove away.
Talon and I did our rounds to see if anyone of those f**ks survive. If one off them are alive a good integration with a bullet in his body he’ll sure talking.
“Bang”
“Sir”
“Bang” body drops.
“Your hit sir.”Talon said.
“I know.” I looked at my right arm.
“We have to get you home to the doctor, let’s go.” Talon said.
“He’s still breathing right?” I asked talon.
“Yes he is, and I already know what to do now let’s go.” Talon said.

I got to the house and vivienne was a pacing mess.Back and forth, back and forth.
She ran over to my side holding on as tight as she could.
“I thought you weren’t going to come back, I thought they got you and hurt you.” She said.
“I’m fine look at me, I’m here and I’m fine.”
She looked me over, “your bleeding, your… arm it’s bleeding, we need to get you to a doctor.. let’s go.”
I held her by the arm and pulled her into my chest. “ Breath you need to breath the doctors down stairs, he’s seeing about talon. I wanted to come make sure your alright.” I said.
“Are you an a*** you should of let the doctor see you first then come see me, would you be able to come see me if you bleed to death uhh.” She yelled.
I listen as she talked about blood lost could make you pass out, and if I passed out then it would of been my fault. She looks so good when she angry it’s like looking at a beauty fire breathing dragon. And I got lost in her beauty.
“ Your still standing there, did you even hear a word I said.. uhh let’s go.” She grumble.
“Ahh slow down I I’m going to pass out.” I giggled.
“You think that’s funny.” She said slapping my arm.
The doctor finished up with talon, then started seeing me. I looked over at talon who was getting an ear full from vivienne, I got see the strain on his face as he’s trying to hold back his laughter.
When I was finished the doctor looked her over and then I took her back to my room.
I gave her a shirt and turned on the shower, “you take a bath I’ll be right back. I have to go check on mammy,ok.
“Ok.” She replied.

“How’s Vivienne?” Mammy asked.
“She’s fine for now, I left her taking a shower.” I said.
“What happened?” She asked. Sipping from her coffe mug.
“I picked her up from the bar, got us some burgers and on my way here we got ambushed.
“The delvinos are getting braver by the minute.” She said,
“I’m not sure if this is there doings but I wouldn’t put it pass Francisco.” I said.
“Who else could it be, no one else lost their mind enough to try to take you out. F**king delvinos.”
She grumbled.
I didn’t stop her from swearing this time.I know she’s mad, and it’s mostly because vivienne was with me.
“We have to take he’s out, once and for all he’s getting to out of hand.she said.
“I know, but I keep hoping he’d come around. But after tonight all hopes lost he’s gone completely nuts for power.”
“And you know being power hungry is never good for business.” She said.
we talked a little while longer. Then I checked on talon and then made my way up to my room. Vivienne was still sitting under the shower when I got there.
“Hey you ok?” I asked her knowing fully well she wasn’t.
“Yea.”she chuckled, wiping the water from her face.
“So why are you still sitting here?”
“Because I’m still drunk, and I can’t get up,” she said, laughing.
I paused. A small part of me wanted to tell her she’s in shock, but the bigger part said let it be
for tonight.
I picked her up in my arms and placed her in the middle of the bedroom. “Here.” I hand her a towel.
I’ll com back when your finish. “ Don’t leave me alone, please. Just stand over there and I’ll change quickly ok but just don’t leave.” She asked.
She turned her back facing my direction and dropped her skirt and removed her shirt. I wanted to turn away but how could I after seeing the beauty standing in front of me.
she stood there naked as the moon shined upon her body through thewindow. “what a masterpiece.” I said to myself.
“Come ere” I grabbed her naked body and held in mine. I placed a gentil kiss on her forehead and held her tightly in my arms.
No matter how much I want to have her right now, I think I just want to hold her more, I never felt this way about a woman before.
No woman but my mother and my sister, and feeling like this is scaring me. I don’t want to lose her the way I lost them.
