Chapter 26 The gate alarm beeped and Hana heaved a sigh of relief. “I don’t feel so good,” she sighed, fighting unexpected nausea. “But it’s worse with you watching me, Logan Du Rose.” Crawling across the floor, she drank the pint of water, followed by two more from the cold tap. She winced in discomfort as she sat on the floor to wait for it to take effect. “Darn kidneys,” she cursed. “You always let me down.” A soreness crept into her lower back, along with the nasty suspicion she needed antibiotics.
