“What are they talking about?” Vanessa asked, taking a few steps towards the TV. But no one responded to her question.
“We have just received information that the alleged affair between businessman Nathaniel King and Vanessa Hart may have played a deeper role in the collapse of his marriage than previously believed.”
Vanessa’s face changed.
“What?”
Nathaniel immediately grabbed the remote.
“Turn it off.”
“Why?” Chloe asked.
“Because I said so.”
He switched off the television.
I calmly walked down the stairs. “What are you afraid of?”
“Nothing.”
“That doesn't look like nothing.”
“Why are these people reporting false information?”
“False, you say, Nathaniel. We all know it's true.”
That night, he looked like a man who was fighting. But
