The Ruthless One

Episode 17

I made my way inside the warehouse with Ella in my arms, I got a few confused looks from my gang members but I just ignored them and made my way to my office where I probably have mountains of work to do.

Just as I was about to reach my office I bump into Mila who apologises and then as she was about to walk away Ella put her arms out as in for Mila to pick her up.

Mila just nodded at me in a way to say that it’s ok so I reluctantly allow Ella to go over to Mila, Ella slowly puts her head down on Mila’s shoulder and closes her eyes, I smile.

“If you want I can look after her today, I’m finished all my jobs.” Mila said slowly stroking Ella’s hair.

“That would be perfect actually.” I said and Mila smiled at me.

“What time do you want me to bring her back?” Mila asked.

“Bring her straight to me if she starts getting upset and if she’s doing fine just let her be and I will pick her up whenever it’s time to leave and oh yes don’t feed her pineapple she’s allergic.” I say and Mila nods and slowly makes her way carefully.

As I went into my office I started on some work, it had been two hours since I had been away from Ella and I kept my eyes on the camera I was watching Ella and Mila from because I don’t want her to go through the same situation again, even though for some reason I seem to start trusting Mila, and Ella seems to have bonded with her and she’s not so close to anyone else but me. However I’m happy she’s enjoying herself, Ella and Mila are doing finger painting and the paint seems to be everywhere but I guess that’s what you get when you have a child under your custody, endless supplies of mess.

I watched the way Mila looked at Ella so lovingly and it might have melted a tiny piece or more like a chip of the ice around my heart.

When I was finished working I made my way to where Mila was with Ella they were both giggling and Ella’s eyes sparkled with happiness.

“Mila.” I said.

“Oh hi boss.” She answered back to me.

As Ella jumped up from where she was sitting she came rushing to me to give me hug.

“Hey princess.” I said and picked her up.

“Mila I was wondering if you wanted to take on the job as being Ella’s nanny, you are fantastic with her and since you fight i would know she’s protected too, your pay would increase as I expect a lot from you.” I said to her, I’m in real big need of a nanny cause I kinda killed the other so if Mila doesn’t accept it means that I’m going to have to bring Ella to the warehouse everyday. 

“That would actually be fantastic, Ella is the most adorable thing ever and I would really love to look after her.” Mila said smiling at Ella.

“Alright then, I need you at my apartment everyday day at 6 am and you would stay until 5 pm, I will send you my address as well as everything you need to do and everything I expect.” I said picking up Ella’s coat and making my way out.

When I got home I gave Ella a shower and put her in her pjs and i got into my pjs too, I made dinner for the both of us and we both ate while watching tv, I actually didn’t have time to eat my food until it was cold as I was too busy feeding Ella first, when done Ella dragged me to play with her new barbie doll set which was torture.

I picked Ella up and out her in bed reading her a story and kissing her goodnight before I went to my bed and sent Mila the email I promised to send and then did all the work I could do on my laptop.

Just like every other night I was awoken by Ella’s screams, I made my way to her room and calmed her down and we both fell asleep

I woke up at 5 am to get myself ready and clean a couple of things in the house, I left a list of numbers on the fridge with numbers to call if there are any emergency’s, numbers from my personal phone number to Jacks to Sofia.

After making sure everything was all done I made my way to the door and at exactly 5,59 am Mila knocked the door.

“Morning.” I said.

“Good morning boss.” Mila answered cheerfully.

After explaining to her everything that needed done to make sure she knew everything with no missing detail I made my way to Ella’s room, I gave her a kiss on the forehead and left leaving her to sleep for a while longer.
