I finished dressing Ella and she is in a white dress with yellow sunflowers which she picked out a yellow jojo bow, whatever that is giant bow on her head is called. “Princess what do you want to eat?” I asked Ella who was watching me carefully. “Strawberries and grapes.” She said happily. “You missed the magic word.” I turned around to her and she smiled sheepishly. “Please.” She said and I nodded and gave her a proud smile. After cutting all her fruit up and putting it in a bow I placed it in front of Ella and she said thank you and attacked her food. “Little one I’m going to call uncle Jack to inform him of a couple of things watch tv for a minute ok.” I said and Ella nodded and made her way to the living room. “Jack, i completely forget to tell you that there is a file in my office that has a letter inside that is supposed to be sent to our soon to be alliance and they will most likely be offended if we don’t respond.” I said into the phone. “Alright I’ll send it as soon as I’m finished up with the training.” Jack answered. “Thank you.” I told him and then hung up. It is extremely important that this soon to be alliance doesn’t think we are trying to offend them because a little misunderstanding can cause a war and even though we are at a much larger advantage it doesn’t mean I want to start unnecessary wars for fun. A responsible leader is a great one. “Ella what are you watching?” I asked coming into the living room and realising that Ella is sitting up her eyes glued to a racing channel. “Cars.” She answered simply not turning her head. “You watch this often?” I asked curiously. “Just today.” She still didn’t take her eyes out of the screen. “You like cars?” I asked her. “They are fast.” She said and I let out a little laugh. “Yep they are pretty fast.” I said watching her so interested in cars is adorable. Till today I always thought that Ella couldn’t be more of a girly girl but she really proved me wrong and tomorrow I’m buying her a bunch of toy cars. I looked at the time and noticed it was already near one o’clock so I quickly picked Ella up and put on her shoes and mine making our way out of the apartment and down to my car. “Daddy are we going to the zoo now?” Ella asked and from the mirror I could see her frowning. “What’s wrong?” I asked confused as she was so excited yesterday. “Mila’s not here yet.” Ella said sadness I’m her voice. “Princess we are picking her up first then we are going to the zoo.” I explained and she let out a breath of relief and I couldn’t help but laugh. The rest of the drive to the warehouse consisted of Ella singing along to some songs playing. “Hello, hey Cinderella.” Mila said sitting in the passenger seat and then turning to Ella who was in the back. Mila enjoys calling Ella Cinderella as Ellas name is Ella and because of Ella’s blond hair. - “3 people.” I said to the man behind the counter at the zoo entrance. “Sir you might prefer the family ticket instead of buying separate ones as the family allows you to have seats together at all shows you decide to watch such as the dolphin show.” The man said not breaking his smile but due to my train and ability to read people and also because it’s most likely part of the job I know that it’s completely fake and his eyes hold no happy emotions. “Family would be perfect then.” I said and paid and we made out way in. As soon as we stepped foot inside Ella was rushing around excitedly her eyes not stopping on something for more than a second before they are attracted to something else and she is running to see it. I swear if I wasn’t in shape I’d be sweating. “Look at the tiger.” Mila said getting down to Ellas level and helping her stop the tiger who seemed to be trying to hid, most likely from all these over excited kids, you and me both. I’m not good with children at all, I’m ok with Ella, and since I really see her as my own daughter it helps me be able to look after her. “Thank you for allowing me to come.” I heard Mila say I was surprised as I didn’t realise she’d moved next to me. “No problem, Ella looks up at you as a motherly figure.” I said and saw shock in Mila’s face but then it rested on a happy smile. “She is a really good kid.” Mila and and I nodded in agreement.
