Tomorrow is your first day at school.” “Iris, please help pack Baby Kim’s belongings.” “Okay, ma’am, I’ll do that right away.” “Kim, go get some rest. Today has been a stressful day, and you know you need enough sleep for tomorrow.” “Okay, Mom. You should rest too.” “Okay, love. Make sure you freshen up before going to bed.” “I got you, Mom.” They both went to their rooms. Kimberly entered her room and opened her closet. She was shocked by the sight of all the beautiful clothes in different designs. She quickly closed the wardrobe and went to the bathroom to freshen up. She slipped into the bathtub for a hot bath. Minutes later, she came out, dried her body, and blew her hair dry. She applied her cream and put on a new set of clothes. After that, she went straight to bed to take a nap, while her mother was having a conversation with Iris. When the discussion ended, Mrs. Lia also went to take her bath and then slept off. --- In the middle of the night, Kimberly woke up and wandered into the kitchen. Iris, hearing the noise, came out. “Baby Kim, what do you want?” “I’m hungry, Iris. Is there anything to eat?” “No, Baby Kim, but give me a few minutes—I’ll prepare something for you.” Noise from the kitchen woke Mrs. Lia. She came downstairs and walked into the kitchen. “What’s going on here, Iris?” “Well, Baby Kim said she’s hungry, so I decided to make some porridge for her,” Iris replied. “Oh, okay. I’ll wait in the living room for you guys.” “Okay, ma’am. Would you like something to eat too?” “Yeah, Iris.” She went to the living room, and Kimberly followed. They sat on the couch when a phone ringtone was heard—it was Kimberly’s. She picked it up and saw that it was her best friend, Maxwell. “Hello, Max!” “Hello, Kimky.” “Max, why are you calling so late?” “I just missed you, so I called. It hasn’t even been a day and I already couldn’t help it.” “I miss you too, Max. You can come visit me if you want.” “I won’t visit you.” “What do you mean, Max?” “I got admitted into the same school you just moved to, so I won’t have to visit—I’ll probably see you every day!” “Are you serious, Max?!” “Yes, Kimky.” “Hold on a second—Mom! What’s the name of the school I got admitted to?” “Tree Hill High School,” Mrs. Lia replied. “But Max, how can you be seeing me every day? What school did you get admitted to?” “It’s Tree Hill High School,” Max answered. “You’ve got to be kidding me right now—that’s the same school I’m starting tomorrow!” “Wow!! Kimky, I told you our friendship bond is unbreakable. See you at school today.” “Okay, Max, but it’s tomorrow.” “Oh, my dear Kimky, you’re so cute and naive. Check the time.” “It’s one in the morning
ohh.” “So what do you say, Kimky?” “See you today at school.” “Okay, bye. Love you, Kimky.” “Love you too, bestie.” She hung up. “Mom! Guess what
