Chapter Twenty-Two
With no one looking over her shoulder, focus became a real struggle, and Judith spent two more two-hour sessions in the corner during the next few days. Each time, she was certain that she wouldn’t have the self-discipline to stay in place for another minute, but ultimately remained where she was until the timer released her. In odd moments of struggling for motivation, Judith found herself longing for Jeremy’s belt. She didn’t want it. She feared it. But she knew it’s almost magical impact on her attitude and ambition and realized that a brief session across the back of the couch would snap her right out of her lethargy and put her to work, sore and humiliated but full of motivation.
