As he left the room, the tension in Zaria’s shoulders finally eased. Adesuwa reached for her hand. “You did it.”
“No,” Zaria corrected, looking at the people who had stood by her. “We did it.”

Weeks later, the dust had finally begun to settle. The company was on its way to recovery, and Zaria had proven herself more formidable than even she had believed. As she stood by her office window, watching the city move in its endless rhythm, Tade entered quietly. “Thinking about the future?”
She smiled softly. “For the first time in a long while, yes.”
Tade moved closer, his presence warm and familiar. “Then let’s make sure it’s a good one.”
Zaria turned to face him, and for the first time, she allowed herself to believe that maybe, just maybe, love and ambition didn’t have to be at odds.
