Settling In

The next morning I was woken up by a knock on my door. Come in I grumbled. In walked Dee bouncing like a fool. Well well sleepy head its time to get up and get dressed we have lots to do today and the Alpha wants to speak to you before we can get started. Ok I'm up ill be ready in 5 min and ill meet you in the hall. I said.

After I went to the restroom and did my business I got dressed threw my hair in a messy bun and headed for the door. I'm ready to see the Alpha. We headed down to the main floor and knocked on the door. Enter a mans voice said from the other side. Good morning Alpha I brought Kate to see you this morning is now a good time? she asked.

Yes! he said a little too excited and I entered the room and he asked me to take a seat. I sat in a chair across from his and excused Dee for now. Is it ok we talk alone or would you rather Dee be here he asked. Its fine Alpha I said. 

How was your first night in your new room ? he asked. Oh it was amazing and that bed is like sleeping on clouds. Wonderful I'm glad you were comfortable. he said Ok we need to talk about a few things if you ever feel uncomfortable or overwhelmed please let me know. I shook my head in agreement.

Dr. Maria and I spoke last evening about your conversation yesterday. She said you didn't have a lot of information to share is that correct? Yes Alpha that is correct. But a few things are bothering me and maybe you can help me figure them out I said. Anything he said.

Well I never met this master guy who says he will not find me and take me back to become his bride? I asked. The Alphas eyes went black and he roared I will not let that happen! I jumped out of my chair and coward on the floor. Oh I'm so sorry Kate I didn't mean to frighten you please forgive me as he rushed to my side and picked me up off the floor.

The electric shock that ran through my body was very calming but I pulled away deciding if I wanted to know what that was or figure out the answers to my questions first. But before I could react I was sat back down and the Alpha was in his seat. He had a satisfying look on his face like he knew something I didn't.

I'm very sorry about that Kate but I promise ill do everything I can to keep you safe ok? he said I shook my head yes and he said please continue. Well I had a "nanny" her name was Helen and a cook/maid her name was Tabitha. They helped me escape but refused to come with me I would like to know if they are alive or if they were killed. I asked. besides Peter they were the only ones I've ever seen my entire life and they were my family.

He was taking notes and looked up and asked who is peter? Well I thought he was nice he never done me wrong and he would take me outside once a day to stretch my legs. But right before I escaped Helen told me he was a guard. ok he said jotting down notes.

Where are your parents he asked? Well I never known them but Helen said they were killed many years ago. Ok we are gonna dig into this and see if we can come up with any information on you or your parents. Do you know how long you were running before you found Tanner? he asked No sir but it felt like hours I know it wasn't that long but I've never ran before. I said he shook his head in understanding.

Wait! he said shocked you have never ran? That means you have never let your wolf free? he said. No Alpha and she is dying to come out. Well that settles it we(you and I) will shift this evening if you want. Really you would do that for me? I boomed. Yes I would do anything for you he said. Then his face turned red and said I have to get to the bottom of your mystery so If you don't mind ill get to it. Yes Alpha I bowed my head. I got up to walk to the door and he said" please just call me john". he said. ok John and I swear I saw his shiver.

Dee came running over and said she had a whole day planned out for us. I was kind of excited hoping it wasn't being cooped up inside all day. Ok what's first I said excited? Lets go outside we are gonna walk around the garden and chat then we will come back and have lunch by the pool and enjoy the water for a bit. Does that sound ok? she said All I could say was yes with a grin on my face.

We started in this beautiful garden with every flower you could imagine we threw down a blanket in the middle of it and just talked for hours. Everyone seems so nice here and its so peaceful I said and my wolf agreed. We talked about everything under the sun until she finally jumped up and said I'm starving lets go get some lunch. I giggled at her she is so spunky my wolf said. I mentally shook my head and agreed but i really like her I said to rose. She agreed. 

We went back to the house and  Dee said we needed to get our suits on but before I could say anything she was asking the omegas to prepare lunch by the pool for us. Dee I said in a frown I don't own a suit whatever that is. She giggled I have an extra 50 you can choose from she said. Ok I said and we went to change.

 Oh My Goddess I yelled I cant wear that? She laughed at my expression and said you must if you want to get into the pool unless you want to wear your under garments she giggled. I huffed and puffed but she gave me a few to try on. I went into the bathroom and tried on about 5 of the skimpiest suits before I found one that covered my body it was black and it covered everything. This is the one I said to rose rolling my eyes.

I put on a shirt and grabbed a pair of flip flops from Dees closet and we headed downstairs. We went through a sliding glass door and into the back yard. Wow look at the size of this pool I'm a little intimidated I have to admit I didn't know how to swim. What's wrong dee asked? Umm I don't know how to swim I said looking at my feet. No worries he she said we will float she said smiling. 

We had lunch and she talked about her life here in the pack and her family I sat listening taking it all in feeling a little jealous cause I never knew family. But didn't let it bother me much cause she is so nice and really my first real friend.

Ok ready to get onto a Raft and float our day away? she said smiling. Yes it sounds so relaxing. Well first you better put on some sunscreen we don't need a crispy Kate. We both giggled. We walk to the pool and down the steps and jumped onto our rafts. She assured me she would not let me drown and I believed her. 

 She tied our rafts together so I would feel safer and I did. We floated about an hour in silence and I broke the silence. Can I ask you a question Dee? Absolutely anything she said. What does it mean when you touch someone and you have electric currents running through your body? She almost tipped us over she jumped up so quick. Have you felt that? She asked. I was kind of scared by her reaction and dropped my head down.  

She pulled us back to the stairs and ran to get our towels. We sat on the lounge chairs in the shade and she finally said tell me everything. I took a deep breath and told her about feeling it with the Alpha in the hospital then again this morning in his office. She sat in shock with a grim look on her face. She let me finish and began to speak.

Well first of all its not a bad thing I promise and 2nd If I tell you then you must not say anything until the Alpha comes to you agreed she said. Agreed I mumbled. Now she had roses full attention. Us wolfs all have mates we don't know when and where we will meet them but when we do we just know. Our parents told us stories so we all know when we feel the bond. I can understand why you didn't know because you never had anyone explain it to you.

Why did the Alpha not say or do anything he just pulled away from me? Well maybe he thought it was to soon since you have been through so much and he just wanted to wait and not over whelm you. she said. I can see that I said and rose agreed.
