CORRIGAN'S POV Early morning I woke up to an uproar happening in the palace. Cornelius was refusing to be put under house arrest so he killed seven of the palace guards sent to escort him out of the Courtesan house. The King is outraged, and the Queen is in a state of distress I heard. The council of elders have called for an emergency meeting but I'm not going to the hall right away.
