sitting at my desk, tears streamed down my face.
contemplating on what to do
I slept off
But i was jilted back
When my phone Rang
It was the CEO
Oh my God has he gotten to know
All this thoughts scaled through my mind
Curiously picking up the call
I greeted
"RIYA I need to see you immediately," he said, his voice low and urgent. "Please come to my mansion."
Checking up the time at my phone screen it was Half past 8
How did I sleep this long
What if Sophia was already at the mansion
And I haven't submitted my resignation letter yet
My heart skipped a beat ,
But again i sat and wondered what the CEO wanted.
It was past working hours
I picked up my bag and handed my keys to our company night guards

at the cab I kept wondering what could be so urgent that it couldn't wait until morning.
the cool night air couldn't shake off the feeling of unease that had settled in the pit of my stomach. What did Wei Bryan want to see me about? And why did it have to be tonight?
When I arrived at the mansion Lady Kay r was nowhere to be found, but the door to Wei Bryan penthouse was open. I took a deep breath and stepped inside, wondering what lay ahead.
Hi Riya I heard from behind
It was lady Kay
The CEO is at the lounge upstairs

I nooded
And turned to take a leave
I let down my bag slowly as I sat at the couch close by
The CEO was on a call, with a client I presumed
And turning towards my direction
He gave an enigmatic smile and hung up
"I'm so sorry, Riya " he said, his voice weak.
I guess you would have to be working with me from home
For the main time until I regain my full health
Okay I struggled to say
I couldn't help but feel a pang of sadness. I was going to miss him so much.
with a teary Eyes I handed him the resignation letter. He scanned it quickly, his eyes widening in surprise.
"No, Riya" he said, his voice firm. "I don't want you to leave."
My heart skipped a beat as she wondered why he was reacting this way. But before she could ask, he said something that made her heart stop.
"RIYA I love you."
My eyes widened in shock.

The CEO looked at me with a deep intensity in his eyes. "RIYA from the moment you started working for me, I knew that you were different. Your exceptional skills, your sharp mind, and your beautiful heart...I couldn't help but notice."
RIYA cheeks flushed as she listened to his words. I had never expected him to express his feelings in such a romantic way.
"But, sir," i began, trying to compose my self. "There's something I need to tell you."
The CEO expression turned serious. "What is it, RIYA?"
I took a deep breath before revealing Sophia's threat. "Sophia came to my office and threatened me. She said that if I didn't resign and stay away from you, she would hurt my mom and my little brother"
The CEO face darkened with anger. "She did what?" he growled, his voice low and menacing.
I felt a shiver run down my spine as i saw the CEO's reaction. But i knew that i had made the right decision in telling him the truth.....
I just wanted to be safe I don't wanna loose him ....
