When the hug finally broke, Ariana opened her mouth to speak but was cut off by the sound of the doorbell.

He walked over quickly and pulled the door open. Two women stepped inside, both dressed in nurse uniforms. They smiled politely as they entered, holding small bags of medical supplies and two boxes.
With a nod, Vincent led them into the living room where Ariana and Linda were eagerly waiting. Then, he went ahead with the introduction.
“This is Jess and this is Becca,” Vincent said, motioning between them. “They are nurses from the hospital and will be staying with you until you are strong enough to be on your own.” He told Linda who gasped, touched by his thoughtfulness.
