“Dinner is at seven. Don’t be late.”
Before she could even respond, he disappeared into his room, the sound of the door clicking shut echoing faintly down the hallway.
Ariana stood there for a few seconds, blinking in disbelief. “Wow. He’s really setting a record for world’s fastest exit,” she muttered under her breath and sighed. “I really need to stop talking to myself before someone thinks I’m losing it.”
Not that it was something she could help. She didn’t have friends and it was worse in his house. As big as the mansion was, she had no one to talk to.
Not even her ‘Fiancé’.
