After their first conversation as an engaged couple, which included signing a marriage contract and swearing an oath not to fall in love with each other, not exactly what was expected from a regular couple, Vincent called a maid and asked her to show Ariana to her room.
He barely said another word to her, not even goodbye before strutting off to his room.
“Hmph.” She rolled her eyes as she walked behind the maid who seemed only a few years older than her.
“He must think he’s the almighty or something. Doesn’t have a single human decency in his bones.” She whispered, shaking her head as they walked up the stairs.
The maid in front of her seemed to be deaf and dumb which worried Ariana. She quickly tapped her, causing her to turn quickly.
