Ariana hated the idea of following Vincent home. After the stunt he had pulled earlier, she preferred to be as far away from him as possible. The thought of being in the same car with someone as unpredictable as him made her stomach twist. But arguing would only drag the night longer; honestly, she was too tired for that. Maybe if she kept quiet and pretended he was invisible all through the ride, she could at least get a nap out of it. As the car purred softly, the driver maneuvering the vehicle as calmly as possible, Vincent kept his eyes glued to his phone, scrolling through an old document.
