Ariana’s eyes widened as she stared at him, pleading with him through them with the hope that he wasn’t too far to understand.
He ended the call and then, she saw him signal one of the men who stood behind him and then, he whispered something to his ear. The man nodded and walked away quickly.
Ariana didn’t leave. She told herself she’d wait an additional five minutes and if nothing happened, then she would leave.
The receptionist stared at her hopeful eyes and shook her head. “Listen, Miss. You’ve been here long enough. I’m going to have to ask you to leave or, I’ll have security throw you out.” She said bitterly.
